Why does irelia W ignore CC?

like. It's description says nothing about being uninterruptible or ignoring CC.

Every channel in the game cancels after CC, why not that one?

Because it's a timed effect, not a proper channel, iirc.

It has more in common with Jax's E than with a standard channel.

You can't reactivate while CC i think. And it is not a channel in the first place. It's more like WW fear.

Yes. And the same is for Irelia's W. She doesn't reactivate it, it just ends naturally.

It DOES say shes unaffected by CC. dont have exact tooltip on hand but "Defiant Dance cannot be interrupted during its cast."

Even if Barons tentacle spikes Irelia into the air she can stand on it, hold W and poke it from 50 feet up.

OH, you are right it does say Defiant dance cannot be interrupted. I still don't understand why. Might as well make Yi channel uninterruptible too. Or fiddle xD

Seems like her W has 0 counterplay.

She can't move nor attack during the channel, and full stacked W doesn't do much more than an auto attack

She can't move or attack cool, she still gets the ph damage reduction. And if they want it to be like that, cool remove the channel bar, what's the point?

Its almost as if different champions have different kits and are balanced around said kit. Asking why Irelia's W doesnt allow her to be CC'd would be like asking why any champion does x things or has x things.

Why do they not make it not be a channel that's what I don't understand. It's inconsistent with every other channel in the game (except Sion's R I guess). And I just want it to either be interrupted by CC OR make it not be a channel and function like it does now.
