Why i hate the rift hearld and baron mission

I rarely get rift herald as it is and if I do it because I'm stomping as top, jungle, team, or because the dragon is ocean/wind which are harder/riskier for a bonus that more difficult apply towards winning compared to fire and earth. I really don't want to tasked with a mission that cant be completed in a scenario where the enemy team can and is very likely to FF before I even have a shot at taking down baron along with rift herald.

Yeah ...the baron/rift mission is a complete crap shoot.

That is a problem with the state of the community being predominantly quitters at the moment not the mission itself.

I don't blame those people surrendering as I would very like do the same if put in the same positon. This game is snowbally as hell and when I get a lead I hold onto it with a iron grip. The only reason you shouldn't ff (for me at least) is when you comp outscales the enemy (while they are early to mid game focused) and you don't think they can close it out which is usually not true. Otherwise your just going to drag it out for another 5 to 7 minutes before the inevitable same result. The days of the enemy throwing are for the most part long gone (expect in bronze).

i dont doubt that. 50% of the reason why the game is snowbally and people dont lose when they get ahead is because 90% of the time the team who is behind either surrenders or stops trying which is a bad attitude to have and if a patch ever makes it so you can come back you will never know because no one tries. much like the story of monkeys with a banana on a high lets say ladder but every time 1 monkey goes up the rest of the monekys gets sprayed with water so they pull the banana monkey down the this keeps happening and the banana moneky eventually learns dont go for the banana. take away the other monkeys the banana monkey will still not go for the banana because he knows he gets pulled down every time he does. The community wont know when they can climb the ladder (come back from early game stomps) when they never try to. Comming back isnt just luck or waiting for the enemy to mess up its also a skill one that the majority of players no longer have. very reminicant of the Call of Duty quit when you team is losing and join another map mentality.

this reminds me of ornns winrate. thanks to his item passive hes one of the best late game winners...but his winrate is so low because everyone whos losing straight up quits before his team power spike.

I dont think a strong passive for other teammates to utilize should be used as an excuse to make the champion itself weak as all hell. Im also not 100% against it if they are shown to be a champion who is more the ultimate support rather than their own champions who hold their own threat much like orrn and rakan are shown to be before they are released and people realize that they will feed of the rocks if they try what is advertised. if they were advertised like mercy where they tell you you got no power out side of helping your teammates (though mercy's gun was always very strong and the change to her ultimate helped her not in damage but in that she had less vulnerability so she could use her lethality more often and precisely). That would go over better with people than advertising an assassin support who's q has an indicator but the actual spell only travels 80% of the indicator before fizzling no damage and what he does do has no damage or strength (the heal) behind it, or powerful mountain breaking tanks but when they meet frail girls with guns they can only throw pebbles and melt.

pro tip: break off long paragraphs into smaller paragraphs. it makes it easier to get the main points across(had a bit of a hard time reading this) also, ornn isnt particularly weak. 3/4 abilities are pretty strong and the last one is a necessary evil. his weakness is how clunky he is. any enemy mobility will let them: dodge his ult, avoid final brittle on w, keep them out of range of q, and avoid being e'd. his lower mobility also makes it harder for him to proc his brittle on everyone that he w's on if he has to rely on his autos, and his delays on his e make it a terrible escape tool

orrn is countered by walking to the side mobility like you are suggesting is not required

its not too hard. its helps to plan for it but if you get rift and have your team stall(you can easily que in with a full group) then just time baron right, youre good.

baron is really weak when it just spawns even a solo que team can get it just have to have some one with heavy life steal tank it or rotate who tanks it

It's not a hard mission. Rift Herald is a really easy objective to take and can be solo'd by pretty much any top laner, any slight lead or distraction could lead to it falling. However, in no way is it powerful enough to determine victory as it pretty much never leads to more than 1.5 towers' worth of damage. The map presence it provides is basically the perfect amount for setting your team up to take Baron later on.
