Crazy Kog'maw jungle/laneing smite with the new sated devour item

This is an insane idea and probably shouldn't exist but, with this tank meta this weird idea could just be so strange it works. If you live under a rock http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Sated_Devourer new devour item on the pbe. Main idea we want to destroy theses brick wall tanks with puppy vomit.Build Masteries http://www.lolpro.com/season-4/1506-mastery-calculator#UgsAgAvM2HQX Runes http://mullinator.com/tools/runepage/1prx91qax91pQx91qux3 items http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item-purchase-planner#&item=203-98-145-270-85-114 . With the new jungle item every 2 auto attack is 3 hits so this works with our blade of the ruined king giving us 24 percent maximum health physical damage every two auto attacks also the active of ten percent maximum health so 34% physical damage in 2 auto attacks then apply Kog'maw W doing about full build 11 percent magical maximum health every 2 auto attacks. So from this build you get about 1.5 attack speed. Every 3 seconds you do about 32 percent maximum physical damage and 44 percent maximum health maximum magical damage health. Your w lasts 8 seconds so you do 64 percent maximum physical health and 88 percent maximum health magical damage. You get 91% magical pen and 34% physical pen for 4 of those seconds you get 61 percent magical pen 6 percent physical pen. This make our little void puppy a single target assassin being able to burst anybody he chooses even tanks every 17 seconds kinda like the old dfg and possibly will single handy make people be scared to choose a insanely tanky team. Put your ideas in the comment on how to make any of theses better. Edit make updates to runes and masteries for lane smite.

Dunno if i missed something but...

So, it costs 2250 gold right? And what do you get from that 2250 gold? 50% attack speed and some on hit damage

You are basicaly giving up your lane because you want an item that gives you double on-hit effects on every 2 attacks. Not to mention that, if you want to get it as soon as possible, you have to take a useless starting item for it.

And THEN, how do you even stack it? Do you shove your lane and then take damage to kill some jungle camps periodicaly, on a champion that has no sustain? And by the time you get the 30 stacks, it's what, 30 minutes into the game? MORE possibly? And what have you done with that item that you bought earlier? Nothing.

It's a really flawed concept imo. This item isn't like cinderhulk because it needs to be stacked.

The whole idea is to use it to shred tanks. That's not really necessary until later game anyways. Just take smite and build your IE first, then come back and build Devourer's and let your teamfights and random jungling fill it up. If you know how to play Kog well enough to start doing off-meta builds, you'll get a kill or two every teamfight, so 3-4 full teamfights should get you all that you need to get it "sated." It might gimp your mid game by 20%ish until it gets sated, but afterwards, you'll take Kog's already stupid lategame presence and multiply it.

There's no way this would ever work under any circumstances. You can't afford to take smite in lane, since you'll just get absolutely destroyed. You also can't afford to spend 2250 gold and an item slot for an item that gives little on-hit damage and attack speed. It would take way too long to become even remotely relevant, and by then you probably have already lost anyway. The cons heavily outweigh any possible benefit.

If ur getting destroyed with Kogmaw the you're not playing safe enough. He was never a strong laner to begin with--he's completely oriented toward the late-mid-to-lategame.

I don't know man, getting the extra roughly 6% MaxHP and 8% CurrentHP every other hit in the late game sounds pretty worth it in this tank meta. Sure, your laning is going to suck without the heal, and your mid game is going to suffer a bit, but as I said, your late game is going to be insane. I'd be interested to see if you could go full bore Unicorn Build with this new item.

item 1001 item 3153 item 3035 item 3718 item 3072 item 3026

No crit whatsoever, and only moderate AD, but some solid Pen (especially with Kog's built in Pen), lots of lifesteal, and a whole lot of %health damage and attack speed. Just like in Smite, this build would pretty much specialize in taking down tanks, while only sacrificing a little ability to take down squishies. You also get some magic damage in there, so itemization is harder, and, on top of that, the Challenging smite would help you survive against the assassins or fighters who try to dive your backline. You probably won't be able to 1v1 the other adc, but you'll bring more to teamfights. Theoretically of course, and assuming you survive the laning phase.

Blade of the Ruined King deals % current health damage, not % max health.

Thank you how embarrassing I came up with this idea late at night so I messed up thank you for telling me.

With an item that cost 2250 gold no less, nice

Some ADC can jungle. Kog on the other hand though... a bit hard. The item fits him most ideally but his jungle is lacking. I can see this on a Vayne to proc W in 2 hits, and Vayne actually has a decent jungle clear.

i think it doesnt give you the proc on every second or third auto attack, but on every n'th, which is basically not defined yet. could be every fifth or sixth. we will see once it comes out, but if it really procs on every 2nd or 3rd, it will be nerfed quickly

item 3153 deals % Current HP, but the damage is still pretty high. However, I think Vayne would be more effective with item 3718 than KogMaw. Her jungle clears are better and she can gank with Tumble and Condemn, or with her ult and stealth Tumble. KogMaw would have a harder time in the jungle, or he could run summoner 11 in lane and build item 3718 later, but then he's not going to finish it until late game and will miss out on using summoner 7 or another summoner spell during laning phase

For some reason i think that:

KogMaw +item 3718 +item 3085 will be the new meta.

Untill ofc Riot will nerf every champion that uses devourer and then nerf devourer.

Drunk Rummate1 votes

The issue is that to make devourer gold efficient you have to actively farm the jungle. If you're in lane you can't really afford to leave all that often to farm jungle camps, and you're also screwing over your jungler every time you do. Your devourer will have very few stacks if you try this and it probably won't be gold efficient at all.

biologist111 votes

You can also get stacks from kills/assists. Also epic monsters give you 5 stacks and it only takes 30 stacks to get sated. Also the jungler wont miss if you take a few Krugs/Gromps. Unless they go devour.

Llanite1 votes

You need to kill 30 camps to transform it, not viable to buy as laner.

Kog jg could work, if you somehow be able to clear it.

biologist111 votes

It also counts as kills and assists/You cant also kill epic monsters like dragon/baron to get 5 stacks.

Jungle Lux God1 votes

If jungle Kog'Maw can work, then this will work.

Lane Kog cannot do it because Devourer needs monster kills. The only way you would honestly be able to get it to work in lane is if you managed to get so fed that you get the stacks you need from kills, but you can't get that fed with an item that has 50% attack speed and 30 on-hit magic damage.

Jungle Kog might work, but it would be too risky. You would probably get invaded at all stages of the early game by the enemy jungler, and Kog doesn't have ganking presence to make himself useful early. You basically have to powerfarm until Sated Devourer, and the enemy jungler won't let you do that.

Devourer doesn't need 30 jungle kills, only take-downs.

So this got me to thinking, what if you ran a double-jungle comp with Koggy and Nunu? Invade like a monster. Make the enemy Jungler your bitch. It would be interesting to try, if nothing else. You would just need someone who can survive the 1v2 lane.
