So, are we ever going to fix Duo Q matchmaking?

As someone who has always enjoyed playing Duo Q, I am starting to get less enjoyment out of this game recently. It seems that every Duo game that I play, I am matched against 2 Duos that are Gold 3+ (My Duo partner and I are both Gold 4) while my team usually consists of 3 Silver Solo Q players and sometimes even unranked players. I don't know if it's just my imagination, but some of these players seem to be the biggest tiltlords I've ever encountered (spam FF at 15 mins even if we're winning, get into fights with each other, etc.) They will curse at us for the smallest mistake and threaten to afk if we don't surrender. It's very annoying to be forced to play with these players in Duo Q when I'm not in Solo Q. This is basically forcing people to play Solo Q instead if they want to climb and I don't think it's fair. Solo Q usually goes well for both my duo partner and I, but we enjoy playing together and feel limited by the lack of proper matchmaking.

One thing that can help is REMOVE DuoQ from Rank.

SoloQ 100% and a Team Q where you can group is the ONLY way Ranked MMR can even start to get fixed.

Autofil also needs to go.

Duo Q severely hampers the integrity of ranked games in the Solo Q. It can't take into account exactly how synergistic a pair might be. It is abused by boosters. And as such, more casual Duo Qers will find themselves in an uphill battle simply to account for all the booster and try-hard duo qers who push the needle towards the other side.

My experience with Duo Q was one of the reasons I quit. I realized that every time I played with my friend casually, we would be playing much more difficult matches than I'd have playing on my own. It turned into a pattern of play on my own and win, play with my friend and lose. Either I had to only play with my friend until we both lost enough to start winning normally, but that would mean I couldn't play ranked unless my friend was on and ready to play.

So what could and should be done? For one, Riot should remove DUO Q from SOLO Q and only let multi-player groups Q up in Dynamic Q. That would make matchmaking a LOT more even.
