Ap Shaco has potentional to be an interesting support

Seriously he is not far of from being viable. And he would be really cool and unique support pick

Changes which wouldnt effect AD jungle shaco but would help him as a Ap support

So there are few reasons why shaco Atm is not good enough as AP support

  1. Mana costs
  2. Wierd base dmg (His e is not worth spending mana until level 3)

So I have a really simple suggestion. every time jack in the box hits an enemy champion. Shaco gains 7 mana back Could scale with AP to .. in case you guys are afraid this would help AD shaco which doesnt need help if you ask me

Now if shaco has more mana in generaly he can get away with the fact that he will have under average impact for a support until level 4-5 or so

If the mana change is not enough. We could fix the way DFT lyandri and some other stuff interact with Jack in the box (Hint they dont atm)

So Any thoughts?

Or Fack shaco he is cancer champion I HOPE he roots. Pretty much what boards think about any assassin

Please stop picking shaco for support

It fails so hard just like teemo support. He can only peel preemptively and that can be shut down with trinkets. Your adc will be a sitting duck and he wont be leveled enough or have enough gold to be all that useful in bot lane. He might be ok for defending dragon but there are likely much better already meta picks than this cheese.

He is not as bad as you might think he just need some mini buffs

I can see you were supported by bad ezreals. Everything is great and nothing can ever go wrong. Anyone who says otherwise just got supported by a bad one.

He's a great support, he could maybe use some minibuffs despite being so great.

I have no counterargument to any of your specifics by the way. Good thing you have none.

Ezreal support is better then you might think due to pickpocket spellthief etc But whatever

Ap shaco support is more viable then fking garen top, ziggs mid and other 50 picks you might see as standard but they suck

Ap shaco is not THAT bad. If he were on a troll pick level I would suggest more massive buffs

You can come to a lane with level 2. He has some cc poke he can block skillshots he is quite good at deep warding with his stealth

He just needs a bit love to be viable for ranked play. Love taps I mentioned would be enough and they wouldnt influence AD shaco. Given that boxes might restore mana since there is oposing champion there But even then AD shaco top could use some love to so its a Win Win

he doesn't actually offer anything that a good support does though. The primary job for a support put simply is to give everything in lane to the adc and protect them at basically all cost. An assassin with basically no peel aside from his boxes that are easy to play around that can't effectively do his job without items isn't a support. It's just a duo lane. That's not to say you can't do well playing shaco in a duo lane, you can do well playing anyone anywhere if you're good enough.

He halfs your Hp With a single shiv

Leona doesnt really protect a Carry yet she works.

Supports are there for utility. Shaco can bring that with W/E and smar R use. He is great at granting vision and Has deadly poke

leona's passive is purely for supporting, and 3 of her 4 abilities can be used as peel. She's one of the more gold reliant supports, but she can still do her job decently well without a lot of gold.

Shaco has next to no utility aside from his boxes. Doing damage isn't utility. It makes about as much sense as zed support.

How is she gold reliant with bunch of stuns?

Then what about velkoz. You can ask anyone and he ll confirm thats a good support yet he offers damage and a cluncky knockup (Cluncky because it could make your allies miss)

Shaco can use multiple boxes for peel. He can use shiv to slow. He can aa to slow if he hasnt shived yet. He can body block with Halucinate (To advanced tactic for most of players)

He can poke unlike leona. He is better at warding unlike leona. He can actually splitpush as a support (Kinda wierd strenght)

I have had kind players junglers who let me entire buff from the level 1. Shaco comes with lvl 2 on a lane with blue buff. Scary stuff.

I've seen a couple people play support shaco. It's funny but sadly once people realize the bush is filled with boxes they get scared to go inside. But you get the people who don't learn and it's great to get free kills from that!

You are not supposed to fill the bushes with boxes. You are supposed to help adc control the wave. And put boxes behind you and your adc so they cant be jumped by a support ex leona

Stacking bunch of boxes in brush is a sign of bad shaco. Atleast you want to space them so that fear duration doesnt get wasted. Iluminati style or similar

Well at the very least you can get a free first blood. But I do agree with you about having it behind you and your adc.

No you are supposed to get a jungle camp and have exp advantage... Thats way better then cheese waiting in brush. I guess your idea can work in lower elo

Buy pinks, doesn't matter if you get behind in gold as a support, if you buy pinks, and place them, he wont be able to do anything, he's too squishy and relies on the effect of surprise too much.

It's really not strong if you have lane control, or play against any champ with dashes like graves or cait..

You must be new on the boards.. You don't talk about Shaco here, let alone AP Shaco, the little angry boards dwellers will come to hunt you if you dare to say even the most little thing that could potentially help with Shaco's gamebreaking bugs and issues.

I would know, i've been maining him AP for 380k mastery p. and used to post alot about Shaco's issues and how to fix AP Shaco so that he can actually be playable against enemies with a brain.

Like the fact that one of his ability is completly de-activated by the press of a button (red trinket) for 10 seconds while the boxes are being revealed with their whopping 150 hp that even Janna could break.

So yeah, talk about Shaco's problems, you'll either get to the top thread and get ignored by Riot OR you get downvoted by the flock of Shaco haters.

Ugh I have been a boards user since the day they came out. And before that I was GD-er

I understand that Boards hate assassins very well. But I still have hope in this thread

Yeah the Red trinkets are tragic. They completly gut shaco teemo and few other champions
