Is ANYTHING going to be done about the current OP state of Volibear?

As Caitlyn, I lose 100% of games when he's jungling, so I've been banning him if I can. If I can't ban him and my team doesn't pick him, the enemy team picks him because they ban Morgana, his only counter. His kit makes him almost impossible to kite successfully, the tankier he gets, the more damage he deals, and his Q displaces me. He's very easy to dive with and he becomes completely unstoppable if he even gets 2 kills. Even games where I didn't feed him I end up dying to him because he already took care of anyone who could potentially peel for me. Does having a Volibear on the enemy team warrant the rush of BotrK on Caitlyn? Because even after Infinity Edge, Rapid Fire cannon, Runaan's Hurricane, and Regards, I still barely dent his hp. Against me, he's free elo, and I need tips to either stop him or stay away from him.

Not as far as I know.

He has the highest winrate for junglers at 54% and a decent play rate overall. I wouldn't come to the boards talking about balancing tanks though. There's a big blind spot here when it comes to the balancing of tanks around here from what I noticed.

My guess is in a patch or two they will start to look at Volibear unless something causes him to slip naturally. I would suspect to see something after Kindred drops off. He is quite oppressive, and I think ban worthy in low ELO. His pick rate and win rate is particularly high in Silver and Bronze. You should always ban him because he's in the top 5 from Bronze to Gold, which is where the majority of us are at.

peel and cc. voli has no dashes so his strategy consists of run at you and bope to get you. i'd recommend using your net and running. most supports stop voli in his tracks so i don't get your morg comment. and on his tankiness i've always found reminder better against voli due to the passive recovering around 40% with a visage.

Realistically, no. He's an incredibly strong champion, and I wouldn't be surprised if he takes the top teir jungle spot after the Kindred nerfs go through. Until he finds a higher play rate, and slightly better win rate, he'll probably go below the radar.

More to the point, I'm not sure it's Volibear being strong specifically. Tank items are still overtuned, and until they're brought in line it's hard to judge a tanks strength.

I don't think Morgana is his only counter... Volibear can seem really unfair, but it's a case of huge power on an already innately tanky champion. Basically a melee-range burst mage who's really not fun to fight. The built-in auto-survival mode doesn't help when facing him either. The thing is, he's been like this for years. It's apparently balanced, just really frustrating. You need to place Ignite on him when he reaches low HP and somehow be able to outdamage him. With ADCs losing to tanks lately, I'm not sure what to do as ADC. Maybe your best bet is co-ordinating with your team, and having them capitalize on your ability to take his HP down, then everyone nukes him once his passive activates. Just remember to stay out of range of that fucking bite. It's a damn nuke.

False, Morgana isn't the only counter to volibear. I'm a voli main and I'm going to list the counters that I personally hate and cannot fight against. If you got any questions just reply.

Amumu Azir Aatrox Garen Gangplank Ezreal (if fed and has the right items) Vayne (number one counter) Kennen I could list a few more but for me these are champs that just constantly destroys my voli games. Now I can also list reasons to why these champions counter voli but just use your head for a second. How does these champions interact with voli and counter parts from his kit.

One thing if you're playing caitlyn who can also destroy voli is building item 3156 , don't rush this but maybe as a late game item. This stops voli's ult damage significantly. I'm also disagreeing from when you said "His kit makes him almost impossible to kite successfully". During ganks it's really on the situation and this I can probably understand but in team fights it's really on your positioning. Caitlyn is a ranged marksman and doesn't need to be in mele form. Your traps and your e gives him an advantage.
