Something must be done about smurfs actively staying in Bronze.

This is bullshit. These people have the mechanics and knowledge to be miles ahead when they want to, and they have Bronze friends they just breeze through promos for - but why is this fair? I know if I was good enough, I'd carry myself out of Bronze, but I'm not, but I'm not so much of a chump that I'm gonna get some Akali with perfect mechanics on a smurf to sail me through promos because I can't do it myself. It takes so much effort for like-skill level players to win a game against each other, but when the mechanical skill gap is physically astronomical, how do you even climb? This happens in too many of my promos. There's a smurf, and he carries. Always - either on my team and that's not fair - I didn't earn the win at all, and if it's on the enemy team, I didn't have a chance. I'm tired of this spiraling cycle of win, play promos, lost game 3 in promos due to a smurf, not get promoted, and repeat. This behavior should be reportable, and a bannable offense, but Riot doesn't care, no matter how long this has been going on. What do you even do against this? This is one of the main reasons why it's so fucking hard to get out of Bronze, because your Bronze-skilled ass has to power your way through bored Master tier smurfs. It's impossible without one on your team.

In NA, there are about 500,000 Bronze players (about 33% of all players in Ranked). There are about 1,000 Master and Challenger players (about 0.07% of all players in Ranked). The overwhelming majority of Bronze players are not smurfs, at least not of the tier your describing. Even if every Master and Challenger were to have a Bronze smurf account and play at the same exact time, you'd only see such a smurf about 1 in every 500 games you played. And the chance that such a smurf is on your team is the same exact chance that it will be on the others. So it's about 1 in 1000 games that you'd have a smurf playing and they'd be on the other team.

Your frustration is most likely incorrectly challenged at these phantom Smurfs. Instead, it's probably because you are finding it difficult to improve as a player and move up in division/tier. Thus, you're acting under an external locus of attribution.

I don't know why I will reply on this but ok! Probably there is not much Master tier smurfs in bronze . Because master tier player can create a platinum/diamond smurf and they are still able to smash those guys. Probably all players you are meeting are gold/silver 1 . If you are not able to get out of bronze the only reason is that you are not performing well enough to get out. Only reason someone is stuck in any kind of elo is because they BELONG THERE. If you can't get out of gold... Well your skill is around gold player and thats about it but as soon as you will start performing better than average gold player you will climb to next rank.. And thats how it always go in any elo. But remember higher you go harder is to carry yourself because players will find your disadvantages and use them. But probably you don't have to worry about those until diamond. GOOD LUCK!

The climb out of bronze isn't difficult, you simply have to be better than a bronze player. Do that and you'll get out.

But you can't be at bronze level, and be in silver that doesn't make sense does it.

If you improve your play your rank will increase.

Two things:

  1. Throwing a game is reportable. I suggest using Unsportsmanlike conduct.
  2. Name and Shame is against the board rules, so please remove the player's name from your post. It's not to protect trolls, it's to protect everyone else from misunderstandings, lies, and revenge posts.

there are a lot of smurfs in bronze. but who can blame them.

in a matchmaking system you will get pushed up to a level where you can only win 50% of your games. while getting about 1 kill for every 1 death.

its fun to play a really tough competitive game like that sometimes. but every single game forever? no thanks. it is much more fun to dominate.

i currently have 1 account where i think i belong - silver 3, and and 2 other accounts in bronze 3. i have to say the bronze accounts are a lot more fun to play. i can win my lane almost every single game. i can play weird stuff like singed support and still go 11-0. so much fun.

smurfing is definitely the way to go. i would recommend it to anyone. it is a little bit hard to be sure to lose enough games to stay in bronze. i like to stay around bronze 3, but i have accidentally promoted a few times. i am working on a few different methods to be able to have fun while making sure i lose to maintain my mmr and rank, and it can be managed.

bronze 1 people can stomp bronze 4s, silver 3s can stomp on bronze1s.

don't need to be a smurf to do that.

not saying there aren't smurfs. But it isn't as rampant as you think. Its also not that hard to stomp bronzies.
