Quinn is overpowered and oppressive in top lane.

Making her Vault so that she is hit by the champion she is vaulting off, is NOT the solution. This is why vault use to be considered useless. If you do that, you make it so instead of using vault as a way to escape Garen's Q or Trynd's huge crit, you are dashing into them and giving it to them for free.

My suggestions? I don't play Quinn a lot, but nerfing or removing the slow on Vault could help. Or making her Q less oppressive and overpowered. Or just you know, doing that thing Riot hates and nerfing her damage numbers. But I would prefer something that doesn't further harm her jungle clear, so I think nerfing her Q's oppression or the slow on her Vault would be ideal.

I post this because I have seen 2 posts suggesting melee champions should get a hit in on her as she vaults off of them. Which to me just makes vault worthless.

Quinn wasnt meant to be a jungler nor a top laner. But her kit makes her a very strong top lane bully. Jungling as quinn isnt the best as actual junglers. Her kit is supposed to be used to kite. That is really her main purpose. So if you remove a core function of her kiting ability, then what can she do? She will not be as useful. Yes she can still do the vault and Q, but the slow is what allows her to trade. If you get rid of her trading potential then she is worthless.

Each champion has a combo. Her E lets her land her Q a lot easier. Garen is already an easy counter to her because of his Q. So if you take away her slow, she wont be very useful anymore. That is her only form of CC besides the blind effect, but it doesnt slow them or stun or anything like that. So just because you lost against a quinn top lane or jungle, doesnt mean you complain about how "OP" it is. Its like saying get rid of Kassadins slow from E because its too op. Same thing, different champion. So if you lose to a champion, please dont bitch about the champion being OP and cry about in on the forums.

I haven't lost against or played against Quinn in ages. I play as Quinn however. I am responding to other posts about her. Your smug bullshit is not appreciated. She currently has a 55.2% win rate top. And Quinn functions best top or jungle, she hasn't been an ADC since the rework, and doesn't work well as an ADC even when she was old Quinn. She IS a top laner and is currently oppressive as such. People are suggesting changing her vault mechanic so she gets hit by a basic attack from the enemy as she vaults. I made counter suggestions.

I used to main her before the whole mastery system, i have my fair share of games played as her. Yes i know she is no longer an ADC. Im saying that she wasnt meant to be a top laner. But now the meta changed to that. But, keep in mind what her kit is meant to do. Poke and Kite. What better lane to do that in than a lane that youre ranged vs melee. Now, lets think about her opponents. Most Top lane bruisers and tanks (i think you know a lot) have a good portion of CC (Slows, stuns, silences, etc.) and a form of a gap closer.

Now as a Ranged top laner, like teemo, you need to play very aggressive pre 6, and more passive post 6 if youre not 100% ahead. Once they get their gap closer, they can be a major threat. Champions like: Jax Garen Gnar Irelia Malphite Maokai Riven Yasuo are a major threat to her. So, because a lot of top laners are a big threat to her, she needs her own form of CC and poke to make sure that she can do what her job is. Like teemo, she is for poke and kite. Her ult only allows her to roam. Most champions' ult gives them a major power spike. Her Q and her E are her only abilities she can use to deal damage and CC.

So when you treat her like someone who is OP when she is easily countered makes me sad. She is a very fun champion to play, but she isnt OP. Far from it. Like most champions, they are only OP when they are fed, or they have a good early game and know how to use that to their advantage. A lot of people just dont know how to play against her because you dont see her as often. Thats really what it comes down to.

My "smug bullshit" is me giving facts to protect her. She isnt OP in the slightest. If she was, you would see her more often now wouldnt we? Shes not a Yasuo, not a GP, shes not that strong currently. She counters certain champions and gets countered by certain champions. Thats all i can really say

Not by the basic attack of the champion you are vaulting off of no. this is the suggestion people are making. If you say Vault off of Trynd to make some distance between you and him, according to these people Trynd should get a free hit on you as you vault.

Yes you can. I've been hit by any number of things while vaulting (the one I hate most is getting bit by Blitz knockup, which is an auto attack).

Now whether or not people can actually have the mind to hit you during the animation is another thing entirely. But it can be done (as someone on the other thread said, you aren't untargetable)

Blitz knock up is an on next hit effect with almost no animation. On next hit extends AA range. That is why he can hit it on the way in. While Garen's Q or Trynd's auto's have slow, weird animations and tend to not hit. The first post I saw that this is mostly in reply to, suggested that it should be assured she gets auto'd on the way in.
