Just like most of us did. I was born 1991. Been playing video games since I was 3ish... family had a Nintendo machine and Sega Genesis.

While I do understand the frustration some young children and immature adults can bring to online games. Using "12 year old kids playing this game." As an insult to the game itself makes no sense.

Adults work. And have family responsibilities. I'd hope a large part of the crowd who plays games is young. Just like when we first started gaming.

Er... the problem isn't that 12 year olds are playing the game.

The problem is that a lot of 12 year olds act like screaming, racist jerks that often ruin games for everyone by acting in rude or immature ways and there isn't much way to stop them.

I'll gladly play a game with freakin' 8 year olds... 6 year olds... whatever... so long as they're not acting like complete wankers in chat or trolling games to screw everyone else over. The problem isn't with young people, it's with selfish and immature people, no matter their age.

If you are referring to the position that riot has taken to punishment based on player behavior and verbal abuse, it is ABSOLUTELY defensible.

If you were a store owner and there were patrons or visitors harassing other customers in the store you would absolutely ask them to stop and if necessary bar them from every coming back.

Riot has decided that they do not want this type of behavior in their community and that it is best for future growth of the company and its bottom line. Most businesses take a similar approach.

League isnt the same as other games...its revenue comes from the culture as much as the game itself, so they have to protect the quality of said culture just as much as the integrity of the game.

A better analogy would be in a club setting; If some club (Word for female) comes up to a guard and says a man "Hurt her feelings", the guard would roll his eyes and ignore her.

either way, how an owner operator chooses to run said business is entirely up to them. If they ask people frequenting thier business to be kind and courteous to people when they are on the premise that is their right to do so. Youre opinion / judgement carries no weight. Children don't generally have the mental faculties necessary to play MOBAs.

They will stick to their zombie themed crafting games and FPS-of-month. The average 12 year old does not have the maturity to handle a 45 minute team game, many times in one day. Lucky for me I'm Diamond so even the ones that seep through will never reach my bracket.
