CSing is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in this game.

I see people saying that having 100 CS by 10 minutes is the norm, and I'm wondering how the hell that's even possible because of how difficult it is to try and last hit every single minion while trying to ignore pressure from your laner. I've been praticing Morgana because she's my favorite midlaner and I just can't do it. The most I could manage was around 75 CS from the ten minutes that the minion waves meet each other, and that's without me spawning in a bot to harass me while I try to do it. How do people manage to hit every single creep effortlessly?

100 at 10 is the norm for a lane where you and your opponent are goldfishing. 80 is very good for a lane where you have to actually fight against an opponent.

Practice.

Don't even stress too much dude. Faker is streaming literally right now and he's hit 69 CS in 10 min. It's not the end of the world if you can't hit 100.

That's what I was kinda thinking. I'm in Bronze so obviously what I see isn't going to be typical in mid-high elo games, but very rarely do I see people get 100 CS by 10-12 minutes. I'm a support main so I usually never have to worry about it anyways, but since the point is to take down towers and win lane, CSing is obviously important but not ceding control of the lane to your opponent is equally important. People at my elo tend to just get stuff done by killing their opponent because everyone's not that skilled and there's plenty of mistakes to take advantage of, but there's also that stigma that people in low elo tend to chase too much for kills and openly neglect CS. That's why I'm trying to practice it.

Then again I've never seen a high elo game so I wouldn't know the norm for those sort of things.

When you see people getting 100+ per 10 min on average (like someone with 330 in a 30 min game), you gotta realize the bulk of that comes once they get items. You're not gonna have the waveclear to manage hella CS, and still play properly/win trades/survive ganks/etc. in the early game, especially before first back.

Whoever you saw saying that is lying.

Hitting every single one in a real game is impossible. You're going to have the enemy harassing you, and you will miss roam/counter jungle opportunities if Csing is all you care about.

Sometimes, the enemy is sitting right in range where if you walk up to last hit, you'll eat a full combo and won't be able to fight back.

Aim to not miss any that you know you can safely get, but having a hard set number is a surefire way to tilt yourself when you fail to reach it.

I hate using sports references, but think of it like dribbling a ball in soccer. Its hard and takes practice to do, but its 3x as hard to keep it controlled when someone is defending you. Same basic concept imo. both just take lots of practice

The best way to practice last hitting is in a practice game with no runes, masteries, or items and your level locked at 1 or 3 if you want to use abilities. If you can get perfect cs doing that you will be in a good spot in a real game.

100 @ 10 isn't realistic.

100 in 12 is another story though.

use the old caitlyn method if you dont know use google. But csing is really easy you just gotta train yourself to be aware of alot of stuff with more practice like when a creep is going to hit one to be low enough ect. Also im sure you dont but click alot faster then you are normal too and get use to having higher apm with clicks.

Lots of practice and wave management. You'll find that as you progress if you pay attention to the way your minions aggro the other minions and learn their patterns it will become a LOT easier. Last hitting minions where they are each hitting 1 target is fairly easy, last hitting as a champion with very little AD when 13 of them are focusing 1 target becomes incredibly difficult. This is compounded by your opponent who will inevitably attempt to deny you and harass you when you go for the obvious CS.

Try not to use your abilities unless they have the potential to 1-shot the minions or cleaning up something far out of your auto-attack range. Viktor is a prime example of this, as with a single upgrade to his Hextech Core and a small amount of AP, he's easily able to 1-shot the entire minion wave (save for cannons). Morgana usually fairs decently well in regard to this also with a few points in her Tormented Soil (W), however the way it "ticks" can really screw up your CS'ing if your minions decide to take a whack at the enemy minions with little HP left. This is made worse by having a slow AA speed as well as AA travel time, and if your W doesn't kill the casters it will often leave them with very little HP, making it a "race" to last hit them before your minions do.

Runes and Masteries tend to make it a bit easier for you to CS, however very rarely will you be able to achieve a perfect CS score without your opponent stepping in - aside from the occasional top laners that essentially have an agreement to trade minions waves with one another (think hyper-tanks with wet noodle damage to one another) as it tends to get boring for Nautilus and Maokai to smack one another for 5 minutes dealing negative damage while denying themselves minions.

100 at 10 is not the norm. It's an ideal.

I suck at CS'ing as well, which is why I only stick to champs that can function on low income. That and I always try to jungle or support whenever possible.

I find rushing one of these always helps item 3751 item 3077

100 at 10 is considered perfect cs. I can count on one hand how many times I have had that good of cs in a game and they have all been recent games, the highest being 11.2 per minute. Don't worry if you aren't getting 100 at 10, getting 65 by 10 is decent for the majority of league.
