What if Sion Q either delayed cc or always activated?

If Sion's kit was left exactly as-is, but his decimating smash was changed so that he ignored cc while charging it, would that fix him? It would mean that the only counters to it were moving or killing him. If he was affected by cc, any remaining duration after he let go of Q would still affect him, but basically he would always drop the axe once he lifted it up.

Alternately, what of his Q was treated like Nunu's ult - if he is interrupted/killed, then the hammer drops at the level of his charge. The flip side being that its cooldown would no longer be reduced. That might be more balanced.

That sounds pretty good, actually.

It'd be too strong. Sometimes the only way to avoid it IS to cc him, since you yourself might be rooted, etc.

I realize that -- it's exactly my point, actually. This would give Sion a little more reliability in his kit without touching his numbers.

He is a zombie. Things like stuns shouldn't affect him the same way as other champions. Or at least not equally.

Too awkward and removes too much counterplay imo. Would be annoying and frustrating in a number of different ways. Sion is a tank and he wants to be focused.
