Honest Question: How should ADCs deal with Assassins?

Its an honest to god question. Now that they've buffed EVERY Assassin AGAIN, and on top of that added an increased 30 second CD on heal, how the hell are ADCs supposed to exist in a game in the first place? The only somewhat viable ADCs now are ones with insane amounts of mobility, and even then those ADCs will now probably just get one shot by Zed just ulting again. I'd be fine with them repetitively buffing Assassins if they would go to ADC and oh, I dunno, give them a tool that allows them to survive an Assassins burst that isn't on a 3 min cooldown? I understand that the whole point of an Assassin is to snowball, but when there is literally no counterplay, what the heck are we supposed to do? I have a whole host of friends that were all ADC mains before you guys started buffing Asssassins over and over. Now I have maybe 1 out of the inital 10 or 11 I had in my friends list because ADC just feels unviable in any match that there is an Assassin.

ADC just feels unviable in any match that there is an Assassin.

There is an ADC in every single game which means they are viable in every single scenario, In every single meta Into every single matchup

Even when the meta is extremely against ADCs they are picked in every single game.

Now to your point:

Assassins counter ADCs, if they aren't able to easily 1 v 1 ADCs then there is no reason to pick them. If you are out of position and an Assassin comes along then you should just die 90% of the time.

The counterplay was to not overextend alone and ward your map.

Understand your SELECTED class of champion does not deal well with high burst champions. Understand your SELECTED class of champions has a role. That role is to demolish objectives first and deal with tanks second and they are weak to the burst champions as a tradeoff. If you attempt to go outside of your role, you should be punished because that is not what your champion is designed to do. No one bitches that mages can't tank well when built with tank items because they understand that is not the purpose of the mage.

The purpose of the "supposedly" weak early, hard scaling marksmen is to farm up as much as possible to hit 2-3 items at which point ALOT of ADCs can 3hit an assassin from range. If the assassin closed the gap and you didn't react properly, you deserve the death. -You did not play properly-; You ALLOWED yourself to be caught out if this happened 1v1 in a sidelane or you/your team ALLOWED the assassin to get to you in a teamfight. The sheer power of the marksmen class is why so many junglers camp bot and why "better bot wins" is a thing as much as "better jungler wins".

How to deal with assassins? Stay with your team anytime the assassin is not visible and do not step into their range until they are locked down by someone or have blown a key spell. If you don't know the key spells of every assassin, then those assassins will continue killing you. Still not the class - still you.

Use your range to out siege/poke them and position away Use one of your mobility abilities to keep that ranage Use your cc on them Have your support exhaust them Have your support cc then Out burst them with your higher damage items that are cheaper than their items (IE + shiv)

The only thing you can do is adjust your build, get ninja, randuin whatever, its not gonna help often really, I often been in situations were the enemy zed was so fed he only needed 1 auto attack on top of his Ult to kill me, and thats even with a nami support next to me, at that point in the game, when you have a zed or whatever assasin that is as fed as that so he can braindead delete you from the game, its nothing really you can do, just wait it out and go next game.

as someone who quit playing literally EVERY other role to play ADC this entire post can go fuck itself

Sitting on top of cc heavy or peel heavy tanks makes it very hard to assassinate any kind of adc. Add stop watch and ga to that and it becomes next to impossible.

The reason delayed burst does not work on assains is because you get hard stunlocked by said tanks while waiting on that delay
