NO! Bad Riot! Bard voiceover complaint

Look. I know that it's interesting to have some champions that don't have voices. Gnar is basically a caveman so having him make oooga unga sounds makes sense and is interesting. Rek'Sai not having a voice, while I complained about her not at least having one or two lines, it makes sense because of what you guys wanted with her which was a true monster. Even Rammus makes sense to just have his one line of "OK" because it fits with his "strong silent type" vibe and is kind og a running joke.

But this one does not make sense and I really urge you to reconsider giving Bard a voiceover. My reasoning is simple, he's supposed to be a storyteller, and someone that aids others in times of need. How can he tell stories if he doesn't have a voice? How can he get others to understand he is there to aid them without being able to communicate that? What's to stop people from just running from him in fright of his otherworldlyness and him being unable to tell them of his true intentions?

This also really hurts something I was hoping for which was unique interactions with Soraka since they are both celestial beings, we aren't going to get anything like that since he doesn't talk... Could you at least try and mix some dialogue into his voiceover or at least explain why?

Even the mute girl talks

Oh they won't. It costs money to hire a voice actor after all.

By the way, enjoy your incoming downvotes from the ones that think Riot can do no wrong.

ya, they need to save that money for Music videos that promote nothing, and Documentaries for Music Videos that promote Nothing, And Free Music Albums, and Paying their shitty balance team.

Good thing they don't bother Highering more ppl for the Champ Update team, God forbid we get more Updates to the 50 champs that need them faster,

Or they higher more Art people for Splash Art updates, They are still a long way off from Updating Skin splashes (hence the 33 Chinese Splash arts we got months back)

SHHH Just ship bard with sona and everything will be fine...

To be fair, couldn't the opposite be said if he did have a voice?

If he watches over Runeterra and intervenes when necessary then you'd think He'd know the language.

THERE IS NO CHARACTER in someone that only makes chime and bell noises. People are only gonna gush over this champ's 'Character' cus he looks like he's from Spirited Away, or Princess Mononoke

The Bard seems like a spirit, not human, so it'd make sense for him to sound like a spirit. Also Bards are also musicians, not just story tellers.

We have several champions that are spirits or what have you. Xerath is literally made of energy. Soraka is also a spirit from the same kind of realm as Bard and she could talk even before her "fall from grace", all but one of the Void champions can talk and none of them even have lips.

Xerath isn't a spirit. He's an Ascended, like Renek or Nasus, which means he is practically a god. Soraka is a Celestial Being, not a spirit, there's a difference. Can I ask where you're getting his lore about them being from the same kind of realm? When it comes to the Void guys though, some things from the Void are smart. They learned because it benefited them, talking to summoners or other champs. Rek'sai is pure beast so she doesn't seem too smart.

Its just an excuse to save money haha, riot is really going at it this season, something tells me they either have plans for a new game or something along those lines.
