Dragon Buff is such a low priority now
This is how Dragon works now
We need to get a Dragon ASAP!! and we need to prevent them from getting 5 Dragons
Oh their getting 3rd Dragon? Screw it, let them, take their towers instead!

IMO this is honestly more of an LCS thing. They have 3 things I probably never will for ranked:
Reliable Teammates. if you can rely on your teammates, you don't have to scrap for every advantage to give those teammates, because you know they'll be good. In solo Q, that tower will be there later, we'll get the gold. The dragon, however, won't be.
Voice communications. I'm jungle and just finished a gank top, but oddly bot and mid disappear. They're hitting dragon, and we realize it; mid and our support, but not the adc, head over. I ping danger, they walk in and die. "WTF why'd you ping to go in?" I don't have the typing speed to point out that maokai didn't have TP, I'm near baron, and cait's taking farm. You misread my ping, which wouldn't happen with voice.
mid game knowledge. I may only be silver, gold last season even, but up front I admit I currently only have a moderate understanding of the mid game right now. Heck, even the pros seem a bit lost at times since the second and third towers are so strong, and they end up just using a bunch of extra gold maintaining ward coverage while they wait for something to change. Since little progress is often made in the md, late will matter, meaning 5 stacking matters.
If you're on top of your dragon control game you can win games you have no business winning by getting 5 drags. I've had a few 5 dragon freelo games now... It's definitely worth the investment.
Yah dragon is kinda meh in terms of objectives if you really think about it. If the teams have split dragon control and even buff distribution the dragon basically becomes a non-factor.
You basically just want to contest Dragons 2 and 5. You don't want them with Increased Tower & Building Damage and you don't want them with Aspect of the Dragon.
The rest you can deal with provided you get a Dragon before ~25 minutes or the 6% damage differential is going to hurt in fights.
That might be how it works in Bronze, maybe.
If enemy is taking dragon, isn't low health at all and you're not grouped decently close for it - you're not going to panic and get together for it, you take the closest objective instead.
As was previously mentioned, first dragon buff is relatively easy to get if you know when your enemy is likely to be moving towards dragon (makes for a great lvl 2 steal + first blood off a Vi or Udyr taking it at 2) and you want to be contesting second and fifth dragons because those are what's going to really bring the objective control into perspective. Don't contest that, they walk all over you if they have any objective control at all.
i find it that a solid turret is worth more than a drag, its really pathetic how little drag gives now.
obviously 5th drag is good, but what good is 4 drags if you're behind 5k gold? the stronger team simply gets drag and a turret for drag trade is almost always good.
i find that lvl 3 drag cheese as fid is not worth it, the enemy jungler ganks while you're trying to get back to 4 and the fb is actually worth more than drag
It'd help if the dragon buffs helped all members of the team equally. Because currently it's a huge boost for the main damage dealers and the ones that don't build a lot of AD or AP and who aren't there for the direct damage they can do, only benefits as well as everyone else on the 3rd and 5th dragons.
Let supports and tanks in on it as well dammit!
