As a zed player, how do play against exhaust?

Almost every mid laner I vs as zed takes exhaust, what are some good ways to play around it as a zed?

bring cleanse, I actually prefer cleanse to ignite on Zed as cleanse is WAY better mid to late if they have hard cc

A friend of mine used to get mad when I would tell him that cleanse took care of exhaust. He thought it didnt

All in them when it's down. It's a summoner spell that is supposed to hard counter dive burst assassins like Zed, so you have to just be aware of its cooldown

I'm pretty sure your ult cd is shorter than exhausts cd, so ult in, back off as soon as exhausted (probably immediately), carry on laning until ult is back up, and then all in for real.

This is probably roughly the same as what you'd be doing in the absence of advice, but I suppose the idea would be to avoid using flash/ignite in the first ult situation (obviously unless it actually would get you the kill).

Alternatively, roam to other lanes and get your kills elsewhere.

I think you meant ult is shorter. BTW, with lucidity boots and the summoner cooldown mastery, it might not be shorter by much.

Right, yes I meant shorter. I edited it to fix that.

Zed's ults cd is slightly over 30 seconds shorter at rank 1 than exhausts cd with lucidity+insight, and gets 20 seconds shorter with each additional rank in the ult. Plus, it's not necessarily the case that the opposing midlaner necessarily will want to go down the resolve tree for insight, and/or they might rather a different set of boots from lucidity, so the windows are probably larger in practice.
