Feedback is great, so let's gather some constructive criticism from this current preseason
Disclaimer; This is my personal opinion on the matter, you are bound to have your own and for the sake of argument try actually formulating your displeasure with the current version of League so we get something to talk about
Ah yes, we've seen the board frontpage be littered with tons of complaints recently, calling the game unfun and other unimaginative ways of expressing one's negative feelings towards the direction Riot is taking the game. And while I dislike the way it is done, it's what the boards here are for: FEEDBACK
Most of these threads do not really try to argue and discuss though and just serve to sow negativity. So, how about we sit down and have a talk about the current Preseason as we approach the start of season 8.
I personally haven't enjoyed league of legends this much for almost a year. We've been through horrible patches with Cho and the whole Ardent Censer fiasco, but I have to admit the current League is much to my liking. The Rune system offered me a ton of new ways to play the game and cook up strategies how to succeed in this environment.
From Unsealed Spellbook Morde with Smite to the massive Aery Shielding strat to abusing
on my Metal man, I can safely say that I am quite happy with this preseason so far.
The games feel intense and you actually try to actively beat your enemy and outsmart them rather than mindlessly farm 20 minutes. But I get that the game feels somewhat snowbally, mostly because of how strong early game champions are.
It can feel really overwhelming to play against certain champions once they have a lead and I do feel there has to be done something to make Snowballing a lot less, well...Snowbally. It's a Domino effect that just keeps getting worse once the first few towers fall.
I've had Towers taken at the FIFTH minute mark after forcing the enemy bot lane to back at level 1 and it really feels like Towers aren't doing their job. But instead of buffing them across the board I believe they should get increasingly stronger the closer they are to the Nexus. With tier 2 being more durable and Inhib towers dealing more damage and/or applying a debuff.
There aren't many OP champions currently around either, at least not from my experience, with not a single champion feeling unbeatable or plain BS to go up against. All in all it feels more like certain strong champions just thrive more in this current environment rather than them actually warping the game.
But those are just my thoughts on the preseason, they're very much positive since I'm having loads of fun with League currently but I get that not everyone might share my enthusiasm. So, instead of writing up another "This game isn't fun" with no real context and meat for discussion being given, let's talk about what you personally feel is currently negatively impacting your game experience.
And no, your 0/10 Yasuo is not a valid answer.
is pretty good. My issue is mostly with what feels like a tank meta, since tanks are hard to kill and have high base damage, combine that with the fact that bruisers are feeling weaker than ever I can't play
or other fighters in peace. And I feel that marksmen are just getting favored by the balance team, as while champions like
are getting fucked over with several nerfs to everything they need, marksmen like
just get little love taps. Marksmen (and the bot lane in general) aren't just favored by the balance team, but the state of the game itself. I've constantly joked about how if bot lane is winning, we win, and that feels like the case. Since you have two champions getting ahead so you have to deal with a marksman that does more burst damage than an assassin, and a support that is either unkillable as a tank engage, or you can't even touch the ADC since they're not only healing themselves with life steal from items and runes, but the support gets so many shields and heals it's impossible to kill them, especially since
may as well be first or second item. It feels like Riot's team is always skirting around the issue when it comes to ADCs. Oh, they're healing too much? Now
and
exist and it fucks over champions such as
. And do I even need to mention towers? They feel super weak and if you get enough people on a tower early, that shit's gone by 5 or 6 minutes. And with first blood tower gold and other factors, the game snowballs quickly, but sometimes I still do see a comeback (mostly because tanks just get a bunch of items and need a whole team to kill them)
