@Riot, could you consider removing Bond of Stone for another Resolve Keystone mastery?

It just feels like it does take up the spot for a great Keystone option for champions who don't want/need the sustain of Grasp and not really play like Engage tanks who got their own keystone in Courage of the Colossus.

With the preseason changes Supports might just build Knight's Vow, which is basically a Bond of Stones on Steroids while probably going for Courage just because it has such a great synergy with tanky engage/peel characters.

So, how about we get another Keystone for Tanks that actually makes investing in the tree rewarding?

It just feels like the other trees got way better options while also having better stats in general, not only Keystones

I'm gonna guess that the Courage shield is weakened for ranged Champions so that ranged supports can't abuse it as much.

Nope, it isn't.

Thresh and co can get the full shield as long as there are enough enemies nearby

New LCS Lissandra top keystone incoming.

Liss?

Think about KENNEN!

He just Protobelts in with ult-> gets a huge shield->Zhonyas after it has worn out

Kennen has teamfight potential, but LCS tends to be more about picks from what I've seen over the years.

Lissandra tends to become meta in professional for that very reason time and time again. Adding more safety to her makes her a more reliable tool.

The easy fix for that is to remove the flat value and make it completely %hp shield. It would have awful effectiveness on squishies and make them semi durable bruisers at best while keeping those juggernauts and tanks that can use it walls of steel.

I am positive that during testing they're gonna nerf it for any ranged users after they see Kennen and Lissandra abuse it.

Tanks basically have

Grasp: Stay in combat for 12 seconds to get 3 procs and it still won't match up to any other mastery!

Courage: Pretty good for supports/CC engage champs. Nothing much to say here.

Bond of Stone: Outclassed by Courage on the large majority of supports, especially with Knights Vow being a thing.

Btw, remember this:

Bond of Stone+Knight's Vow+PD+Death's dance-----> 38% damage reduction on the ADC.

Welcome to our new ADC+support meta.

Malicious Metal1 votes

Oh god no.

With Assassin's burst pattern being extended ADC's might just become unkillable monstrosities

WoonStruck1 votes

Our only answer is full AP Cho'Gath.

Malicious Metal2 votes

Chogath Nomnomnom...Tastes like chicken...salty chicken

WoonStruck1 votes

Can't even get enough AP unless you have Deathcap, the 3 100 AP items, Seraph's, a 67 AP @ 18 runepage, Natural Talent, Blue Buff 3 Infernals, Baron, and Elder.

Sad times.

Malicious Metal1 votes

And Rylais might just lose some of its AP as well.

With knights vow there is no reason for bond of stone to exist.

It should be replaced with CoC (Oh My). Not SoTA.

Malicious Metal3 votes

Or if they have a problem with the flat HP SotA provides they could just make it provide a percentage bonus to the champion's base/max/whatever HP pool, stacking up over the course of the game

Ralanr1 votes

This would be fine.

I'm surprised they didn't add it to Cinderhulk and up the price a little. Still takes it away from champs like Kha and Nidalee, but adds a little power to an item people are constantly taking item 1410 or item 1400 over, even if they're tanks.
