I can't even play Thresh in Season 6 despite maining him for yonks. He just feels dreadfully squishy - we're talking damp cardboard.

If we look solely at raw numbers, I would put my money on Soraka. In most situations, she will outheal any damage another support can offer with the option of adding damage for her team.

Soraka definitely a big one though. Her presence is a real force amplifier in fights.

Thresh is amazing if you're actually really good with him.
