The best and worst thing about being a jungler

The favorite thing about being for me at least is knowing I have to the potential to take over the game. The worst thing is so does the enemy jungler. Nothing is more pleasant than hearing your laners complain that you haven't done nothing after they let enemy jungler start snowballing off their death while you are busy playing catch up and damage control.

I just find it annoying when my teammates expect me to be ganking effectively before the game has progressed far enough for me to gank at all.

It's like they don't realize I don't have a constant stream of minions to level off of.

"Song, why aren't you ganking!?" For the same reason the enemy jungler hasn't ganked yet either. We aren't ready.

Well part of playing jungle is anticipating where the jungler is on the map (which you can achieve through several tools like wards , knowing the jungler's pathing, and the buff/camp timers) and playing around that information. If you know where the enemy jungler is, you can countergank if you think you can win the fight or simply ping to warn your laners. Likewise, you can use that information to make better decisions around the map. Enemy jungler is ganking top? Great, take dragon or gank bot or counter jungle. You have these options to choose from. If you're not taking advantage of them, then you're not punishing the enemy at all.

fav part of jungling - coming in from behind, making an unwinable 2v1 situation all throughout the first 20mins. knowing the enemy team can do literally nothing to stop it, warding is beyond them.

worst part - visibly gaking another lane while bot lane complains they just got 3v2'd, lost the engage (going back in chasing a low hp champ after getting away), saying it was my fault, and the sup doesn't even have a sightstone, and ADC hasn't bought a pink ward all game.

Thats why i havent played jungler in almost a year now. Its so distracting and tilting to be on that team thats doing bad, and raging at you for not being a magician that can save everyone and the game. Going back and forth between all lanes, and getting no farm inbetween, falling further and further behind--which is another thing you start to get flamed for.

I mean not every game is like that, but its like a 50 50 gamble if thats the game youll have. Least for me. Youll either do well, but when the times that you aren't will just be hell and high water.

Best part: I have no lane. I used to enjoy laning during the assassin meta, but now it's just horrible experience to play mid lane. Hard roaming, because every time I leave my lane I fall behind in cs.

Worst part: Your lanes have to be somewhat decent, if you want to get lead. One lane feeding the enemy jungle.
