Multi-Queue Ranked is GOOD for League; Here's why...

I'd like to play the devil's advocate for all of the "Ranked is going to suck now" threads that have been popping up. I'll name the major points that people dislike, and why they can be taken either way, good, or bad. So hear me out. Read the whole thread.

A) Increased toxicity

I can argue against this very easily. Riot already has a feature in place where groups of players cannot get you banned from the game. It knows the difference between 5-man solo queue and 4-man premades. So, to argue against it, I honestly believe that multiple people queueing up together to play Ranked will be better for the game. You forget, it's Ranked. Four people won't troll in Ranked. When's the last time you saw four people troll in solo queue on the same team? Keep in mind that the higher you go in rank, the more people begin to try. Also keep in mind that it's very easy to avoid this if you think it might be a huge deal. The Chat rooms are there for a reason (in addition to your Friends list). You can easily pick up a few people to play with, and if you don't like'm, don't bring them again.

B) Balance issues

Riot already said that the system will match you up against the same amount of pre-made if you queue up with a premade. The argument against this is that your team has a choice to be on Skype (or whatever). So does the other team. This isn't a huge deal.

C) Social aspect

In one other thread, this was one of the arguments mentioned (Really?), and their reason was literally this: "Newly introduced bonuses for playing in groups should encourage people to play together. However, there are those who can't do that for some reasons. And there are those who can." No real reason was given. In fact, I believe that multi-queueing will increase the social aspect of the game. If a three or four-man queue group plays with you, and you're not a total ass (wtf I'm left out so I ASSUME they're all jerks/trolling), then they might invite you to join them. You may have great synergy together. You might even meet and add some new friends to the game. How is this a bad thing? Hell, there's a TEAM RECRUITMENT board on the forums now.

D) Trolling

I can't help but laugh at this one. Ranked. Despite what you may believe, four people queueing up to play Ranked will not troll your game. They queue up as four people because they want to win, not to troll. If four people queue'd up and trolled, Riot's system would very well catch it, and make sure those people are stripped of Ranked rewards, given bans, etc.

Honestly, I'm kind of saddened that the community is freaking out about this. This is probably one of the nicest features they've ever added. The only thing I have left to say is, don't shit on it until you try it. Riot's doing this for a reason. All around, it's healthy for the gameplay. They want to get people involved and playing together. They want to get people earning chests/keys and earning free stuff. They want people to have fun with their game.

TL;DR: Don't shit on the idea. Rethink it and give it a chance. It's not as bad as it seems. If anybody can offer up any new kind of argument against it, I guarantee that I can come up with a counterargument. For now, I'm going to bed; I'll check the thread in the morning.

Go play wow's battlegrounds with a pug, and then let me know what it's like to be camped in your graveyard by a premade.

Except that's a completely different game in a different setting, because you obviously didn't bother reading the thread.

Riot already stated that queueing as a premade will put you up against another premade, but I can see that some people (Such as yourself) simply can't understand that, don't read, downvote the thread and move on.

Not really. The higher the rank, the better people are at playing the game without even trying. That's about it.

I've been across nearly the entire spectrum of ranked. Bronze players try just as hard as Diamond players. it's just that they're shit LOL
(and Bronzies flame way harder at all the wrong things)

i find the people who troll often tend to lose rank.

Well, now I have a new default example the next time someone asks me what "Begging the Question" means. Thanks...?

P.S. Sorry, but you did not really make a good counter-argument here, dude.

its all fun and games until the 3 man on your team ignores the 2 others, do what they want to, and what they believe is right (its wrong, ie send the ADC bot lane 40minutes in, when their 5 man is pushing down mid or taking baron) or worse, they just outright kill the ADC and then freely take something.

they'll ignore my pings for danger or to fall back or ask for assistance outright, and then i just chalk up the loss. NBD, but at the end of the day, a solo queue player would not make that mistake, they wouldn't do what their pregroup says to without question, they would not be the "duo bot with XXXXX only"
