PBE: Quinn Current Thoughts

After watching a few gameplay videos I see now that Quinn can definiately still be a duelist/assassin type of champion. Originally I saw her ability to roam around the map as mediocre, merely allowing her to clear waves as they removed her blind and Valor. However with the addition of her Q doing more damage, her Passive having WAY less cooldown (extremely significant) and just the movement speed she gets really makes her viable. Riot has recently nerfed her early game damage which does make sense as those early kills are very easy to obtain, she can turn any enemy gank into an ally gank easily. I have not seen cases where she has gotten behind but my thoughts are that in those scnearios she will be the "clean up" minion wave champion. One thing that is interesting is that her mid lane is a susposedly a lot better than her duo lane, as she can roam easier. Right now I don't think I have gotten a large enough sample size to say how good it is, as PBE has practically been 4-5 marksmen on a team.... rarely see Quinn against mages or "standard" mid lane picks. For now she currently is a great dueliest and I can definiately see myself enjoying this new Quinn and Valor, although I will miss the old one as well.

Yeah, after playing quinn for so long and jumping on the pbe, it's a little strange and I often forget not to dive onto people in Tag Team. They changed the champion a little too much for my taste, I would've preferred Valor as before but removing skystrike completely over having Valor as merely transportation and a passive, fighting as Valor was key and one of my favorite parts of the champion.

But, she's by no means weak. She's still fun to play and having 900ish constant movement speed with itemization (That is still viable with her passive), is ridiculously powerful, and she'll be a disgusting backdoor champion with this during lategame.

Also, the 5 adc teams are a little annoying, especially when they go support adc, >:l

Support crit Ashe with 50% slows on auto attacks ftw!

quinn before the rework was an assassin who could go melee form to get an execute and roaming power/AS basically

quinn now is an assassin who uses their ult for transport with damage just sort of tacked on

it's amazing how Riot can consistently make kits feel relatively the same and a lot less fun to play

I like the new Quinn but I do miss Valor, the decision making it took with when to use ult was nice and extremely impacted the game if you weren't behind (something that happens way too often with current Quinn, and I suspect may even happen with PBE Quinn), right now she has the feast or famine mentality except its less painful as she can ult to clear side waves easily to catch up. Honestly if they gave back blind i'd be super happy as she could duel Kog,Yi,Rengar,Vayne, lategame Jinx!! remove the reduce CD on Q, and extra damage, and abliity to proc harrier for blind to balance it if need be

I look back on this and just want to punch myself in the face. She is "viable" but the new playstyle only lasted so long for me.

The thing with the current PBE, while seemingly decent, its only because she has a lot of burst. But eventually they'll rework the kit and nerf her. So while her kit is decent for its damage, eventually the damage will lower and then what will you have?

With Vayne you'll always have tumble and invis and stuns.

With Lucian you'll always have the culling, a dash, and the second on-hits.

With Graves you'lll have a shotgun.

But all Quinn has now is roaming and damage. And those will get nerfed. Never buffed. But nerfed. It's the old bait and switch.

What's more, every aspect removed for the rework was an aspect put in for her design.

She was MEANT to be a dueler, a blinder, a duo-champ.

Now she's a roaming burster--who will get nerfed.

No one will get to play her if she is banned all the time in live servers. I wouldn't pressure RIOT to make her too much OP.

That said, the current quinn required a lot of skill to play mainly because you are playing as a marksman and a assassin so you have to know how to play both roles and when to use them in a single game.

The new Quinn will be very easy for everyone to play.
