I'm terrible at adc BUT! (tips are welcome)

Well I'm terrible bot lane period. I personally don't understand how anyone can blind adc without using voice communication, as I've constantly worked against the person i'm with in either bot roles but here's my dilemma:

So I picked Jhin, and was against J!nx. They received no ganks, I received . . . . one? I think?? both me, and my sup had them pushed up against their turret, and they couldn't do anything. I popped three gold rewards on turret (Three turret plates?) They didn't even touch my tower. I eventually had enough gold to not only purchase Stormrazor, but a few other base ad items into another core.

This is where it gets interesting

I get to lane, I feel weak compared to the J!nx who is behind me in items, gold, and even kills still. I go in to poke with my Alistair using my final "FOUR!" aa at the edge of turret range, she uses chompers I wait it out, Minions die off, I get hit with "Zap-cannon" I get focused by turret without having actually touched her with aa yet, and the turret beam lingers for a second shot. Now I was retreating after chompers, and already went from full health to her switching to her secondary aa to poke me back to fountain. Bad play? sure.

This is where I'm confused

Without backing, she rushes my 100% turret, destroys it, wins the lane she was losing, Gets the same first core item on back, as well as I think a few items into a core as I did, then proceeds to completely snowball. I can no longer touch her, let alone 2v1 her with my supp, as she does too much damage all of a sudden, and I went from early game being completely ok, to no longer apart of the match.

I've been trying to work on my worst roles (Bot lane all together) but it goes from being fun in other roles, to becoming a chore/feeling like homework bot lane. wtf is going on down there? there's constant roam from mid, supp is either suuper aggro, or uninterested in trades. if I'm supp adc is going in under turret like a starving child from Uganda, or not getting the last hit kill, making me feel like I just threw away kill-gold for trusting my adc to take it. (I digress)

What's going on with Jhin??? He feels weak, and compared to "sumbich" with a machine gun, he just falls off. I work on poking, last hitting with fourth aa on champs, I land my stuns, I ult when viable, and whenever I stay in the back to try to hurt from a distance, I get rushed, and die off first ironically enough. What can I do to enjoy bot lane better "aside" from the "More practice" I've been working on? Bot lane seems like a unit kind of thing. I can't just chill like mid, and top, I have to cooperate with another person I hope plays like I hope to play, or we fall apart. everyone down there just [DELETED] my champ like the best out of one in rock paper scissors.

I cant watch your game because the servers are down right now. I checked op gg to get a sense of what went down that game. It seems that you died twice when waves were crashing your tower which is a real bummer Because you lose exp and enemy gets tower plating, Falling very behind(but it happens). Jinxs team slays the infernal which makes her even stronger. The nail in the coffin is Ornn hitting lvl 13 and upgrading jinxes infinity edge for Free because of the buffs he just received this patch. So instead of IE giving her 70 Ad, She gets 100Ad. for free.... Which is kinda insane. So the reason why she seemed SUPER op was the Orn upgrading her item free of cost.

when waves are crashing your tower just play it safe and farm. Avoid dying at all cost. gl

Well I'm terrible bot lane period. I personally don't understand how anyone can blind adc without usi..etc

Well, as an adc main I always try to play with premades specially on ranked, but for normals there's no problem and you should play alone if you want to learn how to play adc.

So I picked Jhin, and was against J!nx. The...etc

Here's the first mistake: you only focus on the adc matchup when you should care the same or even more about the supp matchup and overall the 2vs2. Keep in mind that the number of posible botlanes matchups if you take only the traditional adcs and traditional supps is way higher than all solo lanes matchups toguether. And if you start to take in count mage botlanes and off meta supps the number is even higher.

You are winning lane against Jinx, buy, then die and then she makes a comeback etc

Well, if you have a cs lead (dont know how big) and you die she's gonna recover from cs + the 300g of the kill + turret push if the jng doesn't help, and Jinx is one of the adcs that can melt turrets easier. You can also look that Jinx winrate wise is a soft counter to Jhin (at least on Lolalytics).

I've been trying to work on my worst roles (ADC...etc

If you want to learn how to play adc dont play Jhin because he has a more unique farm with his weird ass autos AND you will never learn how to kite if you just play him considering that even a monkey can kite with Jhin for how fast he goes once he starts to crit and that his dmg isn't dps based.

ADC is the most team dependent role in the game, and that's fair but means that if you play with a bunch of random players they will probably ignore you and let you die which can be pretty rough.

Playing ADC sure is fun (I'm biased ofc) but learning how to play adc it's not funny at all for a lot of players: The best way to learn how to play ADC is to blind pick Ashe every single game for a while, it doesn't matter that on the enemy team there's a Yasuo, a Blitz and a Rengar you have to play Ashe and yes, you will die, you'll die several times every game and you will get tilted af probably.

But slowly you'll see the patters of trades on botlane, you will know when you can all in or when you cant, you'll see the moments in which the enemy adc is alone and you can dive him easily, the ganks that you have to expect and how to play around them, how to use lane priority with the push and help your jungler, how to properly position yourself in teamfights, how to realize that the "dont focus the tank" is bullshit and that you are the one that needs to take down the frontline, how to ward with trinket and buy control wards (that goes for all roles to be fair) etc etc.

To explain the a bit more the point of the all in vs short trades/poke: In this game yesterday https://matchhistory.euw.leagueoflegends.com/es/#match-details/EUW1/3895532672/24439834?tab=overview they had a botlane that should have stomped us just by the picks but Thresh forced a level 1 trade in which me as Tristana with my E and PressTheAtack had a massive level 1 all in compared to Caitlyn with Q + FleetF who is btw the adc with lowest base hp in the game, Thresh lands a hook onto me, I quickly focus Caitlyn, my supp lands ignite and when she flashes she already has my E with 3 charges, the PTA procced and dies to the ignite of my supp. For not knowing that their all in at lvl 1 was garbage they lost a lane that they should've won by the matchup.

But as I said, the first thing that you will do as Ashe is die, a lot of times. Think if it's worth or not for you, if you just want to play a bit of botlane yeah go ahead and play Jhin, but if you really want to learn how to play adc start with blind picking Ashe every game and later choose the adcs that you want to master, I did it and in the process I liked Ashe so much that she has been my third most played adc for years. (And Jhin is average on soloQ stats right now, he's not terrible but neither great, if you want to play an OP adc go Lucian)

Take this as the opinion of someome that has been playing ADC since 2012.

IMO if you play either bot lane position, you have to learn the other to fully understand it. Also, you need to very early on figure out if your partner is an aggressive or defensive player, and play to that.
