Wow this is a serious problem. Riot needs to look into this and add in a stuffed animal squeak when he bumps into something

"COWARDS!", he yells in a squeaky high pitched voice

Highjacking comment for this:

Lulu can also polymorph Fiora during her Riposte. Seems Polymorph goes through all CC immunity.

Imagine quick Polymorph on ulting Malphite [slayer-jinx-wink]

sta supra1 votes

ive never done that but i have polymorphed a hec mid dash so he didnt get the dmg off but did move to the middle of the team >:D

Ralanr43 votes

Thematically this sounds hilarious and would make sense.

Gameplay wise this sounds like bullshit and shouldn't happen at all.

Teridax686 votes

I agree, at the very least it's a major inconsistency, since Sion is supposed to be immune to all crowd control while ulting. Apparently Polymorph also goes through some other forms of CC immunity too, so it may be that at least parts of it aren't coded as CC, namely the visual transformation.

Auz the Ripper2 votes

Riot changed "unstoppable" ultimates a while ago so that the champion can still have CC applied to them while the ultimate is happening. They aren't truly "CC immune" It doesn't affect the ability but will affect the champion if it hasn't timed out by the time the ability finishes. A touch annoying but the way riot felt it should work for some reason

The fact that polymorph forces Sion to stop ulting prematurely is the only unintended thing

Faceroll Tactics2 votes

That isn't true

Warwick would pretty much lose his ult everytime he leaps if he gets cced because more stuns roots charms etc last longer than the leap. Same with his Q

Malothere8 votes

Probably should report it as a bug

SwiftKitten886 votes

she can also polymorh someone through a Morgana shield

AbiwonKenabi2 votes

No she can't. I haven't seen the interaction in a while (I try not to polymorph spell shields) but I'm like 90% sure she can't.

If she can, it's a bug and should be reported.

Seyfti2 votes

I made a thread with a video in it. She can polymorph through the shield....Just check my profile and you will see the evidence.

Lulu is getting rather popular. I want supports to dominate now, plz its our turn now :D

supports have been strong for seasons now, the only people who thought otherwise were the trash who can't get out of silver even after meddler gave you redemption and locket

Because she likes fast food.

I'm gonna be honest, I was fully expecting to see the polymorphed Sion to keep going and crashing.

I'm dissapoint, rito.

Just watch Fiddlesticks fear an ulted MasterYi running at him. https://youtu.be/Hc1QDpCXb9w

RavenMagus3 votes

There is nothing wrong with that though. Yi doesn't prevent the hard CC (the fear + run away effect), but it does prevent the slow (usually caused by the fear).

No bug there, but Sion's ult should make him immune to polymorph until he's done slamming into something.

My Waifu Vanilla3 votes

Lulu W is also extremely buggy from what I have seen from playing her straight the past week or so. Your W doesn't stop Zac E half the time (while he is charging it), some champions still auto attack during the polymorph (both a Master Yi and a Yasuo auto attacked me as a squirrel and killed me with the extra auto). It honestly just feels like a classic case of Rito Spaghetti.

Ionian Vulpix2 votes

Can someone try this on an ulting Olaf? Would see if it's an issue with Polymorph or with Sion.

PaladinNO2 votes

I believe I've tried that. It didn't work - ability went on CD, but the ulting Olaf was unaffected. Just giving the message "unit cannot be disabled" (or similar). It's odd though...because as far as I can remember, using Polymorph on Sion doesn't work either.

On that note, it is also rather unamusing to waste a Polymorph on Yi when he's using Alpha Strike - Polymorph goes on CD, but he's unaffected, dealing full damage just as nothing's happening.

Aptest4 votes

that's because poly-morph actually has a projectile... albeit an almost invisible one.

so it can be dodged, absorbed in wind wall, blocked by braum shield, and deleted using fizz's trickster.

PaladinNO1 votes

Hell, that's what I get for watching a movie while making a post. "Multitasking - where everything is done only half-way." xD

Yes, I had intended to include "I know it's supposed to be like that, since Lulu's Polymorph is technically a projectile, but it's still annoying", but that didn't make it in the final cut.

Good to know there are people who got my back, and gently points out that I did miss something (and a rather important detail at that). :)

Maybe you can help me out further on something else that's been nagging me... Off-topic, I know, but indulge me for a moment, please; Fiora got changed basically thanks to her kit focusing too much on her ultimate, yes? Where she becomes untargetable for the duration. (As I say it: "Some say [old] Fiora used to be just an ult with a pretty face"). BUT...isn't Master Yi's Q/Alpha Strike working the exact same way, and has done since his day one?

The discussion why Fiora got changed and lost that ability and Master Yi still got his is not one to be taken here, but I just want to know for sure that their abilities actually works/worked the exact same way.

Aptest1 votes

no. Or, i should say, he used to be, and got changed exactly because of that.

Mr. Yi is a champion that runs and people and AAs them. The AD variant of Mr Yi was always a champion that runs at people and AAs them. His Alpha strike does a good bit of damage but landing a good alpha strike doesn't win a team fight and (AD build) Mr. Yi was never a champion that was supposed to just land a good alpha strike and win off that. Consequently with Mr yi you get to trade. He dodges a skill with his Q and maybe blocks another one with E if he's smart, but other than that you get to put damage on him because the bulk of his DPS is just AAing.

Whereas old fiora was basically get a tiamat and abuse the fact that you can get 5 procs of it with every ult. I.E. while she could run at people and AA them, she couldn't do it for any extended duration so was much more about landing 1-2 decent AAs and then ulting... preferably into a bait ball so the tiamat procs will do work. So in her case, a good portion of her DPS was done during her ult where she could not be touched.

Now, we can talk about AP yi. But that was changed for exactly the reason of dealing all this damage while not being on the map.

PaladinNO1 votes

No, no, I'm not talking about damage output and builds here, I only mean the technical aspects of how Yi's Q works specifically.

Let me try to clarify: As far as I know, using Yi's Q does make him untargetable for the duration (same as Fiora), using his Q can, if timed correctly, block/dodge single-target abilities (same as Fiora), and his Q is undodgable if being targeted specifically or residing within range (same as Fiora).

So if we ignore how builds affect or change the damage outputs of the two abilities (Alpha Strike/former Bladewaltz), are there any technical differences between how they work?

I've always believed there are none. Which, as a fan of the old Fiora, I consider highly unfair treatment. But, and this is my point, my beliefs on this may be biased and incorrect due to a lack of knowledge on how the two abilities really works, and if there actually are differences (albeit subtle ones).

Aptest2 votes

I think the question that is important is not what the technical differences are, but rather:

a. how much can you do, if you do not have access to this ability? Do you have a follow up to after it ends? do you have a setup that you can/need to do before you use it? Is there anything Mr Yi. is good for, outside of alpha strike?

b. how much are you getting done, while being in the untargetable state? Is it a bit of damage and a dodged skill and after that you need to have some good follow up, or have you just won the team fight right there? Are you doing the equivalent of a single AOE skill in damage, or are you fully DPSing whilst being CC-immune?

Technically alpha strike and blade waltz are similar but not identical. Blade waltz procs on-hits and interacts with AA modifiers including defensive ones (yes shen's circle will completely delete blade waltz's effect), alpha strike is pure damage. I think Blade waltz also "waits out" momentary untargetability effects instad of canceling, and it doesn't reset firoa's position if it cancels or kills target.

Fiora has one thing that is a problem in her kit. Her "gameplay fantasy" is me>you. Which is something you can't ever really give regardless of "oh she's supposed to be a duelist".

Old fiora i think lacked distinction. What was she aside from her ult? another Irelia? another Xin? take their ults and put them on the bench, what difference do they have? New fiora has low CD dashes and she has a spell shield so she's not Xin Zhau with a different ult.

Knoyle2 votes

Lulu's Poly isn't coded as CC apparently. That deserves a look.

Mizuki Zahra2 votes

that's just one side of the coin, on the other side yay lulu can polymorph a sion ult and make him larger while hes charging down lane thus covering more ground sideways, wouldn't that be a good thing? I mean you can't have the positive effect with out the negative

Giga Kahuna3 votes

an allied lulu applying an effect to sion that isn't considered cc isn't the same as an enemy lulu applying cc during his ult which is supposed to be immune to crowd control

Actually this is a bug. Sion is supposed to be immune to all crowd control effects during his ultimate.

That moment when you're not smart enough to realize he cancelled his own ulti.

1374341 votes

Does it stop your ult? Or does it just turn you into a giant squirrel racing down lane?

Ben Sharpio5 votes

it seems to make you pop out of your ult form and you just stand in place. I would post a video but this post isnt getting much attention. Maybe next time.

Maximum Morde1 votes

Yeah but it doesn't apply the slow right? You still just go barreling down lane yes? All it does is visually poly you.

Ben Sharpio14 votes

it makes you pop out of your ult form so you can't actually knock up anyone.

Maximum Morde9 votes

Well that's kinda dumb. Rito should probably fix that. Post it in bugs forum?
