Why are you nerfing Tristana's Damage? That's not her problem.

Before her problem was she didn't do enough damage at various points in the game to be a worthwhile pick, it made her power curve very strange. Like a "U" shape but the high points in said shape were not high enough.

Now that her damage feels appropriate, your issue is that she has a long range resetable leap. Tristana cannot be allowed to have this leap without major changes to the leap itself.

Again, her damage isn't the problem. It's the leap. You need to target the leap with some changes to make it so she doesn't snowball so hard. That leap is the only thing that's making her godlike. Target that. Stop skimping around it. You know it, and the rest of us know it.

yes, buff Tristana

The problem, however, with your point is that many people like that about her. even if if did less damage, they like being able to jump in and out of fights, literally.

Unforunately that is not an option. Tristana would have to go back to doing less damage and have a less of a power curve than other hypercarries. Ultimate she would not be worth picking.

Sometimes, the problem isn't the point, but the people who have the problem with the point to begin with. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I see no reason that they cannot reduce power in other parts of her kit / scaling. Most of the hyper carries right now are the subject of considering nerfing anyway, so why try to hold her to that standard?

While her leap is part of her problem, it's not her only problem. Even if they did nerf her leap, she would still have a passive that increases the range of her basic attacks and her E to numbers higher than Caitlyn, allowing her to easily poke you to death, especially at later levels, a huge attack speed buff that requires 0 mana, an ability that inflicts grievous wounds and periodically chips away at your health, which makes poking far too easy for her early game (and, once again, increases range with level), and an ult which nullifies almost every engage on her.

As she is, she is a champion that has a good early game, and a great late game with very few, if any, risks, especially if she is partnered up with a support like Leona, or goes AP. Personally, I think Tristana needs a rework, which I hope comes out with her VU.

She has an awful midgame if she doesn't get ahead

her early game is actually pretty bad. if the enemy carry gets ahead, all she can do is try to farm up. she only does damage when you dont outplay her. ive had terrible tristana games where i spend the entire game behind and my only use is causing grievous wound and blast backs. Caitlyn needs a nerf, those headshots do damage all game.

Is her early game really bad? I consider myself a good adc, and yet, I almost always lose lane to a Tristana. In fact, in my last game against a Tristana, I was playing as Twitch, my main, and she practically forced me out of lane with her constant poking. Every time she went in, she would destroy me before my support had time to save me. She didn't even need her support half the time.

Basically, in my experience, if I don't get a lot of ganks from my jungler, Tristana is much more likely to win.

the leap is simply for escape/initiation, AP and AD. its a mobility tool which gives her that classification as an assassin. additionally, when you go AP thats her main combat ability, e is for poke and ult is a finisher/repositioner
