A few months back I made a thread about how I prefer tp mid over ignite

DrNova··39 votes·1,711 views

And was basically told I was a dumb bronzie.

Now it hits LCS and everyone is doing it and its a problem.

Most people who play this is game are arrogant stupid sheep.

One person disagreed with you, and only on the fact that you said "Faster back to lane from a Back". That's the only thing he was disagreeing with you about. Nobody even downvoted. At this point you're just gloating.

You're just now realizing this?

This community is nothing but LCS-worshipping cancer. And it's been that way at least since Season 2.

LCS wasn't around in season 2. They were still only doing international Tournaments like IEM, plus having their own Worlds. LCS started in season 3. I will agree though that nearing the end of Season 2, when Pro LOL started getting really popular, Is when the "Oh X pro player did this, so it must be the only thing you should do." mentality.

Yup. I remember people would rage and call people trolls if a mid laner took tp. Now its "OMG BROKEN OP QQ" after being seen in the LCS

I've played TP mid for the last year. Fucking LCS scrubs need to stop copying us Bonzies. http://res.cloudinary.com/urbandictionary/image/upload/a_exif,c_fit,h_200,w_200/v1395991705/gjn81wvxqsq6yzcwubok.png

Even tho meta can change a lot in "a few months", I agree lol.

TP is a spell that makes Split pushing and map control, a very effective strategy.

I can only assume that this happened when Juggernauts came in and Tanks went out. Cause team comps started to lose some of their instant, teamfight advantage, requiring them to focus more on map rotations. (and teamfighting is harder in YoloQ)

With the new rift Herald, Top lane won't be an island like it use to. which may nerf the early need for TP. But TP's mid to late game power it basically unaffected.

A few months back, taking ignite was better :l, the Meta changes bro

And I'm just sitting here with barrier...

Meta changes. And people won't give a shit unless the pros do it.

Anidan1 votes

It's totally not a meta change or anything at all. Nope. No other changes occur in the span of several months, only summoner spell preference.

A lot of people are still sheep, though.

I've always used Teleport on mid lane if I was using Karthus. For him, this is the best summoner spell due to his playstyle. I generally play Karthus like the Nasus of mid lane (even though I know that Veigar is THE Nasus of mid lane) - focusing entirely on farm instead of kills (unless my jungler ganks) until I have the items I need to make an impact on the game.

I run TP mid since I main Xerath and that has been months already, got kicked out of TB several times for that because I refused to pick Ignite.

Daedalus8711 votes

I prefer taking exhaust or ghost on my mid-laners.

The LCS hasn't even begun thinking about that.

Get on my level.

TBH even with meta shifts that doesn't change the fact TP has been this strong all season. Ignite hasn't been nerfed either which means that it really was just sheep being sheep. Hell I ran exhaust a few times mid which is also a great sum against or with an assassin. Never sweat it.

Wimbledofy1 votes

So even using a better option you still managed to stay bronze? Only 1 person disagreed with you in your old thread but apparently you can generalize the league community because of 1 person. YOU are the sheep, copying how people make threads saying "oh the league community is dumb" when that is what already gets upvoted a lot. This is one of the reasons why many people think the league community sucks, because people like you lie or stretch the truth to get upvotes.

did you really just pull receipts on him?

Chill.

yea, hell all breaks when you take an AP bot lane with a supp rrather than an Ad and supp.

I'm still not convinced that it's not a stupid thing to do. Just because the pros can use something effectively does not mean that uncoordinated teams of significantly lower skill players should try it. Double tp works for pros because they always tp in when someone get caught, meaning that every fight has the potential to become a teamfight. In my experience with lower elo double tp means that you catch someone out, and then after they die you get one or two more free kills because the people teleported in too late and then get caught as well. Tp midlane makes the least sense to me because that lane is already closest to base and has the best potential for roam, both of which are issues that teleport solves for toplane.

Sir Yamazuki1 votes

Not sure what you're talking about, I've taken tp mid for ages and no one has honestly even bothered me about it. I've used ignite like 2 times over the last 3 or so seasons.

YambrinZ1 votes

Teleport is much more useful the later the game gets. Id rather see all other summoners get nerfed so hard that we see a 5 tp team meta. Now that shit would be exciting to watch.

FracturedJupiter1 votes

The game would be renamed "League of Backdoors"

Blade of Justic1 votes

I never took anything but TP and Flash mid.

When Jungler ganks top and bot needs help, I do a little Bot Lane TP Malzahar. EWQR and what doesn't die from me is food for anyone else.

Weathered1 votes

Wait, did you just call them sheep?

I agree with you, but http://imgur.com/JdBoGIr ?

DrNova1 votes

OK, after rereading the old post clearly I exaggerated the general response, but it was a while ago and I only remember talking to the one guy who disagreed mostly because he was so rude.

He ignored most all my post to take one single line and call me bad, so that was my only memory of the thread. Negatives often make more of an impression then positives.

TenSpeed1 votes

depends on the mid im playing, but I've been taking tp mid (situationally, not all the time) since I started this game back in 2010.

Now I'm hoping I don't get flamed for choosing NOT to take it.

ex. I don't take it on say.. ziggs cause tping with ziggs isn't the best, but I take it (with consideration to the situation) with Kassadin or any other assassin mid, maybe even tf if I feel like having double the threat and the opponent isn't too hard.

DrNova1 votes

What else would you take on ziggs? Cause honestly a long range seige champ like that I just can't see anything else being even equal in use full ness

TenSpeed1 votes

on ziggs his tp ganks aren't the best since he is all skill shot based and his damage is based on poke, not the kind of burst an akali has. Yes you can make it work and I have, the situation where a tp leads to success happens less so for ziggs imo. (You shouldn't use tp purely to get back to lane faster, as this is a waste of a summoner spell.)

Depending on my opponent, say if it's Zed I may take summoner 3, if it's Leblanc I may take summoner 21 (actually it is recommended to take this as default by several guides) , and if it's a match up I feel comfortable playing I take summoner 14 for more all in.

Regardless of Zigg's long range I have made ignite work versus other mids and have often got first blood off it. It just requires knowledge of the opponent's champion and when it is safe to get in range (after lux uses her binding and e, I have a moment where she can't do much). I used to run it by default in the past, but I've learned just how useful it is to run other spells on him.
