I feel winning or losing shouldn't affect your mastery exp gain

It's like entirely bogus getting 83 exp for loosing a match thanks to other team mates feeding when my bot was dominating the lane and I end up 1/2/2 leona and get 83 exp. Thanks a lot team, these type of thing will never help us get a long better if i'm being punish on their behalf. I feel upset at my team mates but it shouldn't have to be this way riot. Honestly, it should be primarily focused on the grade you get, not the outcome of the game. There's too many foreign factors into winning and losing a game that aren't in relation to how well you do as a player.

It's pretty bullshit that Riot's logic is, "oh you went 40/0 as your best champion but still lost? Fuck you, you don't deserve those mastery points. Here's an S." Alright, good, got an S, but I already have Mastery 7 on this champion.

Exactly, and same for ranked and moving up. People will cry tho because deep down they know they aren't good enough and depend on having a solid team to help them move up the ladder or have their friends.

Too bad Riot won't experiment and try basing rank off KDA since they already tried with their flex/dynamic crap.

Luckily for me, I own 42 champions, and all 42 are level 5+. Some level 6's, some level 7's.

It was silly for me one time in top lane, which I barely go to but it was silly none the less.

We were slaughtering the enemy... and I had about 2 or 3 kills but...... 30+ assists! I had I think 1 death that match but came out with a S- because of the assists!

In another match, I was able to get 50 assists, but because I had 5 deaths and only 2 kills... I got an A+ as a Support.

Its not just the losing, I've been cheated an S from winning as well.

Things like Wards placed, and Wards destroyed impact your grades.

Things like CS impact your grades, (Excluding Supports)

Pretty Sure Gold Income earned off a Gold Income Item impacts a Supports grade.

It's not Just K/D/A although that prolly the majority of the grade, the little things make a difference too.

I don't think it should be as effected as it currently is. The issue is someone could kill farm to 40/0 but not have any real skill in the game. I do think you lose way too much mastery EXP for losing, it's a little ridiculous.

it is.. it's taking me forever to get to 5 on leona because of losing games. I'm getting sub 200 per game for the losing ones. According to the wiki you need 9000 exp to get from lv 4 to 5 and getting between 80 - 160 is ridiculous on a 20 - 30 minute match.

Its to discourage people from farming S ranks at the expense of winning.

This.

I've had a few games from someone poaching the whole map to get S+ tokens.

In ranked.

Yeah, it sucks as much as it sounds.

I'd argue that playing the champion in a way that wins is one of the most important aspects of champion mastery.

That's extremely arguable considering is a team based game and your team can pretty much cost you the game quite easy vs you just getting better at playing at said champion. As I and my adc were doing well bot their bot lane was being smart and staying at the tower avoiding fighting us while my top and jungle fed like no tomorrow and whined and complained that rengar is op but kept trying to 1v1 him. Pretty much this.

Currently around 80% of the Mastery Points comes from the fact your team won. Only if you got an S or S+ in the process, though. Otherwise the Mastery Points ratio gets even more biased towards winning.

Yes, winning should be important, but this is CHAMPION Mastery, it should nearly exclusively rely on how well your TEAM did.
