While I’m not a fan of RNG elements and have argued against crit in the past, rng doesn’t completely remove skill. The ability to improvise and adapt to quick changes is a valued skill that is tested through dealing with rng.

hahahahaha no. Why do you think crit is never bought in small amounts?
Crit is not good rng because it doesn’t allow someone to really react or improvise how to use it. It’s kist a random chance to do more damage.
Klepto imo is a good form of rng because of all the stuff you get without really knowing what to expect.
So, Kleptomancy. You're saying it takes skill to get bonus random gold and consumables?
Skill to get? No. I’m saying the skill is in knowing when to make use of the random item you get (like wards).
Honestly I do think klepto is a bit too strong at the moment, but it’s at least more healthy than crit by requiring player interaction beyond just auto attacking for more damage.
i feel klepto is going to have some hard times ahead, and in all honesty, if it is as good as everyone says it is, it can even make bot lane stale, mindless farming until klepto gives them something like an elixir of wrath, and then they can engage and swing the lane via RNG. It is good to be fluid and react to new happenings, but if that klepto pops and they see a good drop, they can use it immediately and if in a com bot lane, can easily trigger an engage on the spot, all things aside i think it is an interesting way to try something new, but I am afraid lanes will become too reliant on them in the future and end up making bot lane worse as an outcome.

"Mindless farming" yet Klepto requires you to keep trading with the enemy til you get something good.
Can you not see the contradiction?

and then we get the
conundrum, that item enticed trades, but inevitably dumbs down to attack every now and again, and if the case is so with klepto, there is no incentive to engage in a full blown fight if both sides have klepto, one side could get something that reverses the tide mid fight and you get caught with your pants down. personally one hit, see what you get and adapt from there seems like the scenario that most strategic players would utilize to maximize the rune to its fullest.
It still has a strong possiblity to mess up bot lane just as much as it could help, but a risk for good
as we have seen isn't always good for the game as a whole. RNG is something nobody likes to lose to, and many players have said crit in the past is an anti fun mechanic due to its hidden power. This RNG is the same, but can have more power in the early game than crit ever does in the mid-late game.

Um, no

Um, no
... and you can't even give counter evidence...

Why bother, dead thread. The fact you compared Klepto RNG to Crit RNG in both effect and power without any real objective backup also is making my head hurt.
