WHEN you rework Shyvana, Riot...

Not if, WHEN, because you can't help yourselves.

Show restraint. As she is her numbers are fine and her builds are diverse. She has clearly defined strengths and weaknesses.

The ONLY things Shyvana needs;

  1. Build Rage while respawning so she can rejoin critical team fights mid to late game

  2. Tenacity built into her Dragon form

Please for the love of God, Allah, Yaweh, Vishnu, Buddah, and The Flying Spaghetti Monster do NOT listen to people requested entire overhauls on her kit and basically asking for her to be replaced, like Aatrox, and absolutely do not cave to your own urges to constantly "make things better" like how you do with Ryze, Akali, Garen, Yuumi, etc...

SHOW RESTRAINT. I implore you, Riot.

Her numbers are not fine though?

Lets look at Winrates and pickrates for each elo in the jungle.

  • Iron : 44% winrate and 3% pickrate.
  • Bronze : 47.5% W 2.4% P
  • Silver : 50% W 2% P
  • Gold ; 50.6% W 2% P
  • Plati : 49% W 1.7% P
  • Dia : 46.7% W 1.2% P
  • Masters : 43% W 0.7% P

So out of 7 divisions of play she is pretty much a trollpick in 4 of them, and barely hanging on to being decent in 2 while kind of bad but not terrible in another thanks to dedicated players.

However at what cost? Her AD build is essentially dead with only 3 out of 10 players using it compared to the AP one in the elo´s where she is viable, statistical sites like OP.GG or U.GG or league of graphs do not even show the AD builds anymore.

Her numbers are fine? Her builds diverse?

Sir OP you are factually wrong, statistics are entirely against you and it´s beyond crystal clear that Shyvana needs a large overhaul if she is going to have either of the things you claim that she does.

Now i can understand the fear of her becoming the new Akali/Irelia/Azir who keeps getting nerfed over and over or get things taken out of their kits post rework after rework until the original champion is hardly visible but something major needs to happen.

Because right now it´s beyond clear that the half Dragon is like a rotting corpse tossed into a underground lake with no way out, left to slowly decay into nothingness.

She needs major changes to have the ability to get out that pit, so a rework is necessary with in depth work and several changes to essentially replace or greatly alter her kit because that´s where origin of her sickness festers.

What kills me when people ask that old champions that are still good be reworked is why they aren't simply suggesting their changes as a NEW and SEPARATE champion that doesn't screw with one of my mains!

Make her hot on the rework.

But Shyvana would obviously be better if her Q conjured a massive flaming claw swipe that alternates casts from her left and right arm, W was a dash with three charges that reset if you hit an enemy champion from the sides, E was a mini dragon form that empowered her other abilities for 2 seconds increased by 1 with every auto or champion spell hit up to 5.5 seconds, and her ult gave her map-wide presence in some way. That would surely be a fun, balanceable homage that would bring in new Shyvana players while not alienating current ones, and definitely wouldn't need to be gutted after a month.

Agreed, Shyv is fine, just a little hard to keep on top of enemies due to global mobility creep. I really see no reason to rework her, she fits really well into the current meta.

While I agree they should show some restraint. I think it should be Warwick level. Not very different from the current iteration yet feels better to play. Her rework, when it happens, should be focusing on the juggernaut aspect. I would dare to say that her AP build shouldn't stay the same. It might still exist but the way the ratio are it should be more spread up. (i.e. The long range E spam must be deleted) If the AP build can't work it's fine. I'd prefer her to be focusing on being a dragon leaving flames and bodies along her path into the fray than a Gargoyle spitting fireballs from the other side of the river.

I disagree I don't want diversity for her build paths since that ALWAYS mades balance problems. I think riot should get rid of ap all together.

1st is the biggest thing keeping her viable, as you have to be winning or even to win. if u are losing or getting focused, you just have little impact.

tenacity would be nice, but idk. the buffs in pbe are huge
