So what's going to happen with Akali?

The consensus is that Akali's rework is a bit of a mess. Is riot going to do anything about it during the preseason or is this something we are going to have to wait a few months to see a fix for?

akali main 500k m points, i honestly dont give a fuck about this anymore. tired of bitching to Riot on how fucking retarded they are on gutting akali to the point it doesnt make ANY fucking sense. am i angry? dude... you have no idea.

months? yeah... probably quite a few months. knowing they suck ass at coding, it may take a year for them to do anything good for akali. As a main, i urge you to not play akali as shes trash now.

They can give her all the number buffs they want, but it won't matter because the new mechanics for her shroud have made it not fun to use it all and no number changes will fix that.

To me, the short duration early on seems like the biggest issue with it.

They changed that duration business to be 8 at all levels again, iirc.

You can't place it where you want to anymore which is a huge change for how you can use the shroud and the gimmicky blink is not needed because she already has mobility with her ult. It also makes her shroud feel very clunky and now feels like another generic mobility spell instead of a very unique stealth shroud that you use to strategically outplay your opponents with mind games rather than some stupid blink.

I tried testing out her kit after I posted and I agree that her new shroud is clunky.

Hey might I ask what you think of her new passive? I don't play much Akali and so I can't really speak from good experience here, but when I played it today, the immediate bursts of dmg and healing felt good to use and pretty rewarding in some circumstances, I like it but I'm not sure exactly how it compares to the old one. The one issue I tended to have was that a LOT lot lot of my damage came from my passive and Q proc, meaning if I didn't auto attack someone 2-3 times I'd miss out on a lot of dmg.
