Champion Update: Fiora

I'm all for healthy and balanced gameplay but I think Riot removed one of the main reasons people choose to play Fiora.

They could have reworked it for more counterplay.

I'm afraid Fiora completely lost her most important aspect with this update

They stated that when they were going to work on Fiora, that they were going to remove Blade Waltz.

And they did.

And although I must say that when I'm playing Fiora, I will miss it, but when I'm playing against her, I will not.

No, Fiora's whole aspect is that she is a duelist not some team wrecking monster who can 1v4 with the touch of a button. The new Fiora removes that terrible ultimate and gives her a unique mechanic that is challenging and fun to play with.

Another thing in addition to your comment is that s8nce she isnt a binary bullshit champ anymore, she actually is a bit stronger now that she has flexibility when fighting

I feel like her rework makes her a better character thematically. It sounds as though she is a better "grand duelist" now.

Seriously, I don't see a way to give it counterplay without making it utterly worthless.

Actually the way I see it, her ult is still very close to blade waltz, but instead of it being completely automatic "press R to win" damage, hte player now has to do the waltz themselfes. I really like the concept.

they said a while back when fiora's rework was brought up that blade waltz would go away and it did and im happy because that ult was bs

How would Riot have reworked an ability that made Fiora untargetable and dealt damage to your entire team to give it more counterplay?

And more importantly, how does Blade Waltz play up Fiora's identity as a duelist? If anything, it tells Fiora to NOT duel people and instead do massive AoE damage in teamfights.

The ability needed to go. I'm really happy with her new ult, and let's be honest: if you were only playing Fiora for the ult, that's a bigger problem.
