@ Riot: Please be honest!

Dear employees of Riot,

now, after your unexpected announcement regarding the "retirement" of Dominion, I would like to ask you a serious question:

Will you shut down Twisted Treeline too at some point? Are you going to continue ignoring the balance of this particular mode as you did the past months? Or, will you finally invest some ressources to evolve the Treeline?

On behalf of the 3v3 community: I request an honest answer of Riot!

Twisted Treeline probably has like 10-15% of the playerbase.

Dominion had less than 0.5%.

People need to stop acting like Dominion hadn't already removed itself years ago just because they remembered it existed when Riot said something about it.

They'll say "no", but once they are even slightly inconvenienced by TTL they'll scrap it or leave it to rot. Just like everything else they create.

TT still gets balance changes, just smaller ones. The TT meta has some outliers, but it's got the same core mechanics as SR, so champions who are balanced on SR will usually be pretty similarly balanced on TT. I play a fair amount of ranked TT with a couple friends and we mostly ban the same people as on SR, with a couple exceptions.

Because it's so similar to SR gameplay-wise, balancing champs around SR usually keeps them pretty balanced on TT as well. Dominion would have needed huge investments to keep balanced because the way you played Dominion was way different from the way you play SR, so more champions would have needed map-specific changes.

My guess: They won't remove twisted treeline. It has a decent fan base, and it's great when you don't have 4 other people to play with. It also has a ranked ladder with people playing it much more than people play Dominion.

They said they weren't going to shut down TT.
