Warmogs replacement for ARAM

I understand that warmogs does not create healthy or interesting gameplay, But it is the only way to deal with poke for tanky champions.

If sustain does not belong into ARAM then lifesteal vs minions needs to be removed too.

The Meta of Aram isn't even decided by Warmogs but by poke

Where I made intersting rune-decisions previously, I now have to optimize my runes to survive poke on almost all tanks/tanky champs and this results in almost the same runes played all the time.

It really feels bad and boring to play some chmps in ARAM now.

There are different Ideas out there what kind of Item could replace warmogs:

  • a warmogs that only heals up to a certain percent of your health, so if you healed back up you are easier to kill

  • a warmogs that heals missing health, so you can get into the fight quickly at low-ish health, but it takes way longer to heal full

  • something to collect from minions like essence/souls/whatever so you can heal, but enemies can contest it (similar to the pros and cons of lifesteal)

Warmogs was unhealthy. I knew if I got a tanky team, it was an insta win. I could crush a team, walk out and be back in full health in less than 10 seconds on some champs. With that said, tanks do need something in ARAM or life leech needs to be reduced or removed.

Life leech is so unhealthy in ARAM and SR as well. It allows some champs to outtank tanks when they do a ton of damage on top of it. Remember when AP champs had spellvamp removed because it was bad? Why is spellvamp bad when life leech is so overbearing but allowed? It should at least be reduced. Now because Rito loves their AD champs over AP that prob won't happen.

If life leech is not reduced then give back warmogs, but maybe reduce its effectiveness. Either reduce the speed it regens, or some other reduction. Even a limited % or set amount of life to be gained.

Warmogs should be readded next patch. It was only removed for the bligewater even per the client.

To be fair, no tank item is very 'interesting'. The problem with removing WM is that it didn't change anything, besides make some melee even worse. 19 of the top 20 ARAM champs are still ranged, just like before it's removal. Ziggs is still at 71% and Sona at 75%. The facts are the facts, and WM was never tied to higher win %. They should have changed it to melee only, and left it in the game mode, because WM users were never among the highest win %. In fact, the addition of the reroll champion pool(great addition) made it even worse, because people can more easily pick into poke comps from the pool. Melee needs WM now more than ever, and again, WM users have always been middle of the pack going back through every patch.

Honestly they could add in an item that functioned like Pyke Passive or Tahm W, granting grey health on damage taken and then healing part of it out of combat.

It would provide support vs poke comps without being as overbearing as Warmogs is in ARAM.

Hopefully it gets added back after the event is over, playing a melee in general in ARAM can be a struggle while poke champions are strong throughout every point of the game.

If warmogs was removed because of too much sustain, then healers like Sona should be removed as well. There's no reason for that champion to be in ARAM, she completely breaks it with her never ending sustain and her winrate indicates that. It's even worse now with the health relic, because on top of heal W sustain and redemption there's now yet another AoE heal.
