Anyone here who can tell me what the fuck the balance team is doing?
Pyke, Irelia, Graves running havoc? Of let's give Irelia 5 less movement speed.
What is this? Is this a joke? Do the balance team know what theyre doing?

That 5 MS caused her to dip 2.5% in win rate and drop from a tier 1 champion to a tier 2 on all analysis websites.
You should never underestimate what changing a champion's base stats does to them especially not MS, AD or AS. We've seen that in the past with Kayle, Cait, Janna, Graves just to name a few where they barely tweaked the base stats and it had a huge impact.

5 is literally nothing, though. It cannot be felt at all and the situations where that 5 MS impacts the result of that situation is so low it's not even worth including it.
5 MS can definitely be felt.
It's funny though people say the thing about the 3 AD adjustment they did and yet they played a huge impact.
It's not nothing, losing 5 MS means that it's a little bit easier for Irelia's opponents to escape her and survive a fight if they can get far enough away from bladesurge targets, and a little bit harder to escape a chasing opponent if she can't find a target to jump too.

Irelia's main mobility tool is her Q. She doesn't just run around in teamfight and autoattack. She bursts people using double / triple Q's. Sure, maybe in ganks / lane in some marginal cases it can be felt, but overall, the nerf means nothing.
Same with Graves - 2.8% WR drop, but silver balance experts on the boards only know how to deal with extremes either the champ gets gutted, or Riot is a joke.

Base AD is a completely different thing and while it's still very minor, it has a lot more impact than 5 MS on an extremely mobile champion.
If the stats showed a drop, it's a drop. You cant argue with stats, even small changes can impact a champ, so if it knocked a 2% off her with just -5 MS, thank god they didnt gutt her.

Correlation != Causation. The difference in winrate after the patch doesn't necessarily indicate that the patch caused the winrate to drop. No one in the League scene (Pros, analysts) thinks that this nerf matters.
In addition, I am 99% sure that if you travel the Summoners Rift from one Nexus to the other, the 5 MS difference would net you less than a second of time. That's how miniscule 5 MS is.
They do know what they are doing
They do know what they are doing

Riot's "gameplay" team is the only team that HAS NO FUCKING CLUE WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
if it wasn't for the rest of the company saving their ass time and time again this game would have died back in season 6 with "dynamic boost"
Oh balanceteams fans is here jerking them of
Graves got nerfed as well, and Pyke has changes on the PBe that make him more gold dependent and give him a much weaker early game.
They got this.
