I was 0 LP and dodged the gam, so I expected to be S2 -3 LP then I won a game, and, on the recap screen, it started showing "Silver 3 97LP"; I thought to myself I had been demoted without notification, but then the LP came in and it's now showing correctly "s2 15 LP". What would have happened if I lost? I would have been S3 81 LP? I was supposed to be shielded from demotion
Let's face it Riot probably has no idea how any of this works.
I doubt the person who created the ranked system in the first place is even still at the company, so they don't know how to change it without breaking everything, and instead just slap a new coat of paint on every now and then to give the illusion of maintenance.
Had this happen to me, just says -3 LP if you lose again. The 98 LP of last rank is a bug but not real.
I finished my last game at 98 LP...... Really Riot
