Everyone is so nice all of a sudden! Incentive system is genius.

I just want to publicly congratulate Riot on bringing a huge fix to League of Legends' most negative aspect of all - the toxic community. Since the release of the new honor system, I'm finding that the general temperament of teammates and those against you has cooled beyond belief. Everyone seems so helpful and nice! No question mark spam when you die. Failed a gank? No problem mate! The incentive system has covered all the bases: Tilt proof and calm - prompts people to not lose their mind if they are ganked twice in 3 minutes and therefore stops people from lashing out at their teammates (or jungler in most cases - can you tell I'm a jungle main). Keeps the teams calmer as a whole now.

Strategy and leadership - people are more focussed and concentrate more on tactics, at least in my ELO.

GG, Team player - If you can't or don't lead the team, and have no reason not to get tilted, you can always just be super cooperative and keep the morale up.

Obviously there are still a few party poopers, but you can't expect Riot to fix humanity as a whole. Teams as a whole even speak up more now against the odd tantrum thrower instead of just silently watching the debate unfold.

GG RIOT, great job.

still shit in low elo. But nothing will change that since this is the place where hopes and dreams go to die.

I think the biggest thing that this system did to fix everything is shove it right in your face at the end of a match. The old honor system also had different things to honor you for, like team work, friendliness, or generally being helpful, but the biggest problem was it was essentially invisible.

Now, you see immediately what honor you receive, get the chance to honor other players in a way where you consciously have to not honor someone to avoid giving it, and have incentives tied directly to your own performance as a human, rather than as a player.

people are just attention whoring for the honors now. its actually quite anoying.

when youre the type of player who doesnt actively bring attention to yourself and just dont spam the chat with "good job friend tehee XD" every couple minutes, people will barely take note of you even when you carried games on your back and turned losing games into victories with good plays.

For me in ranked I find that if you win, people are nice, but if you lose they often show their true colors and they don't seem to care about honor whatsoever.

I have to be honest here.

I've played roughly 30 games independent of friends in the new system. I've received a handful of honors and I've honored one person. I've still been told to "get cancer", "kill yourself" and other inflammatory remarks repeatedly. Is it /slightly/ better? Maybe, but to make it sound like it's some monumental change I just don't see it at all.

Fake kindness is still fake. Which is a pretty low thing to do IMO.

Anyway, being kind dosn't magically skyrocket your skills and/or makes you win more. That's why I stopped giving out honours - almost no one deserves it.

As for me, as long as the baddies allow me to carry and not feed too much or try to appear smarter than they obviously are - I'm fine not receiving any honour.

different people have different experiences I guess

since the new system is in place I played 5 games, I had to report at least 3 of my teammates in four of the games and I got a notification for a penalty having been issued from that :S

at least I had one game where I could genuinely and happily honor a teammate

I can tell. It's mostly because people want to advance in the honor system. The only thing I don't like is that it also makes the nice people look like try-hards.

I agree, it has made a difference, I just wish they'd fix the bug that disappears the client except a tiny rectangle so I can consistently honor people. Last game everyone was nice and I couldn't honor anyone.

I've only sent out like two reports since the new honour system, compared to my usual daily I was sending before lol..
