I don't fully understand why so many complaints about dynamic queue.

Riot Socrates has has himself that, and I'ma quote him on this "premades of 4 or 5 teammates are being matched against a premade of the same size (most of the 1.4% with more divergent premade sizes come from very high and very low MMR ranges). Teams made of solos and duos are matched against a premade 4 or premade 5 only 0.21% of the time, and players queueing solo get teamed up with 4 man premades 3% of the time."

I see so many people complaining that they are getting matched up against unfair premades when they are solo, but as Riot says, people getting matched up against an unfair premade, happens extremely rarely. These "unfair matchups" happen so rarely it doesn't matter too much, at least according to Riot. Are all the compaints just coming from a extremely vocal 0.21% minority?

I'm a huge riot games fanboy myself, I refuse to believe that they are lying about these statistics. I honestly feel like the only person who has had little to no problems with the s6 changes (cept the upcoming changes to athenes, RIP galio.) and I've been playing since s3. So I just don't fully understand what exactly is wrong, since I'm having so much fun with the game I hardly care how they change it, I find it difficult to realize why things like this get so much complaints.

To be honest, I'm expecting this post to get downvoted a bunch. However, I have no intentions of offending anybody with this post. Getting on someones nerves is the last thing I ever wanna do. Though if somebody could politely explain to me why there is so much complaints, despite the numbers showing that unfair matchups happen extremely rarely, I would really appreciate it.

I hope whoever is reading this has a great day, best of luck on the rift!

Well when youre a solo played and get matched with said premade, its not a fun time. Especially if theyre huge douches that blame everything on you the solo player. Ive had my fair share of games where i got flammed hardcore by a 4 man premade for their mistakes. Dynamic queue is fun for premades but solo players get thrown under bus.

Playing a 4/1 game is more common than you know. When 4/1 you have little to no impact in the game. You'll just have to pray and hope your enemy team is actually playing serious and not using voice chat for the giggles.

I'll give you a good example of why we don't like this: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2154892223/216460380?tab=overview

I was a solo player queued with a 4-man premade. I had a Leblanc support. You see all of those kills LeBlanc got on Rek'sai, Cho'gath, and Yasuo? And all of those kills Zed got as well? That's because for the first full 11minutes of the game I played bot lane 1v2, cowering under my tower, doing my best to dodge every Morgana Q, and trying to CS. Meanwhile LB and Zed had a field day in mid lane.

I wasn't asked if I wanted to play bot lane solo. I wasn't offered any jungle pressure or roams from mid (until 11min when ZED came bot lane and helped me take the turret because Sivir and Morg went to buy).

Then you know, I was even okay with it. We got up 9k gold at 25 minutes. Their strategy, as boring and unfun a game as it was for me, seemed to be working. Except it didn't. Because they probably pull cheese strategies all of the time and aren't good enough players to actually be in my games. By the end of the game I had the most CS on my team by a large margin DESPITE being at under half of Sivir's farm through laning phase. Zed had 50 less farm than the camped Cho'Gath, and top had 100 less farm than his opponent. The enemy team made the comeback and beat us.

It's bad enough to lose the game, but then go back to what I endured at the start. I didn't queue up as ADC hoping to lane without a support. I queued up hoping for a normal game. And hell, if they'd asked me if LB could start by cheesing rek'sai then getting a couple kills mid, by all means go ahead! I was cool with it as I expected her to come bot at 3min, 4min, 5min? But she kept going back mid over and over again while I got to play the "do my best to get in xp range without getting hit by a morg Q" game. Don't even think of trying to CS.

4-man premades have no respect for that 5th solo queue player. I mean, these 4 people were legitimately cool teammates. There was no harass, they let me take the red buffs late game, they all focused down Cho'gath when he flashed on me in a teamfight to try to save me. They played well and it was mostly okay. Simultaneously though, it's not the game I wanted to play. If they wanted to do a cheese strategy with a second assassin mid to get a snowball going, leave out top or jungle, not ADC and support (as they obviously did, because they know they'll get the support). I mean, I queued Top primary and ADC secondary. If you want to make someone play the lame-game, make that person part of your group. You don't get to assign that on someone else.

I've had quite a few games lately with 2+ man groups. I don't like them as much. Allied or enemies. I think firstly we should know - they know they're going to be camped for, so why shouldn't I get to be told that they're a duo? For allies, I just don't like that my lane gets ignored as they're all going to try to support eachother.

Do I sound salty? Probably. I mean, LB got an S in that game. That set me off a bit - sure she got kills but she didn't do her job at all. She was the support, I played solo ADC the whole game. And yet all 4 of them get their chest for that game because LB got an S from cheesing mid, even though we lost and even though the only reason we were in the game at all was because I played super safe bot and didn't feed kills 1v2 like the enemy mid laner did. (I don't mind not getting a chest as I'd already gotten a dozen S games on Jinx, I was just annoyed that LB of all people got one when she was literally never bot lane for the first 11 minutes of the game...).

You should check the reddit post on how riot manipulated their calculations to get these %. And lets not forget that % do not completely represent the number of games you'll face with premades as a solo que player. At higher elos where the population of players in a specific elo are much lower, you have a higher chance of facing premades. Let me tell you why: The match-making system will try to match you with players as that is its main goal. It has a list of priorities that starts with the most important which is checking for games that match your party #. At the very bottom, it has "games that have already have 9 players queued and need 1 more person". The system itself is in constant conflict because it wants to give you the shortest queue time but also has to find you an ideal game. I've never seen a queue time that has lasted over an hour in order to find the solo player a game with 9 other solo players so riot is full of bull. You are getting premades more often than riot has misled you to think.

Players in challenger like C9 Meteos have already attested to getting games where its 5 solo q players vs. a premade 5 which shouldn't happen in this system right?

Each individual statistic might look high (assuming their numbers are correct), but you have to add up all the combinations of a solo player playing with/against 3 man or higher. That's high enough. Then include duos (since rito said we were supposedly getting a true soloQ). The number increases further.

Instead, I wish they would come out with a statistic that says, "Solo players get a game with ALL solo players X amount of the time." It would be a much much much more telling statistic.

my issue with dynamic Que is the people who say support/fill get support then pick an adc or apc and play like a carry. not like a support which was there assigned roled. until harsh punishment for that level of backstabbing your own team is dealt with dynamic Que is not fixed

You all make some valid points. I just didn't understand it cause the numbers made it seem like the likeliness of getting an unfair matchup were extremely low, 3% and all. But after reading all of your comments it has made me realize it is a problem. No matter how little it happens, it still happens and needs to be fixed, and I thank you all for helping me realize that. For all of you whom have had bad dynamic que experiences, I apologize and I hope you all have much more pleasant games in the future. ^^ Lets hope Riot gives us solo que eventually, or at least give us complete confirmation on if its canceled or not. Thanks for not downvoting me to oblivion like I thought might happen to this post. I hope you all have a great day, and best of luck on the rift! :D
