People like this make me realize the community isn't so hopeless:

So, after my last game yesterday ending badly, i wasn't feeling too good going into this one, but my mood changed for the better.

Our jungle that game, just started out with "I love you all" , which may sound creepy at first, but my whole team actually responded with happiness that we didn't have a toxic person.

He then went on to say that if he's playing badly, it's because he's a bit shaken up, as he just came back from a funeral for his friend, we tried to comfort after that, it may seem like fishing for compliments, till he said the following:

"I just wanted to let you know, that even when it doesn't seem that way, you are always loved, someone out there loves you"

it really just put me in awe, and after the game(it was an hour long, and we won, no toxicity from the whole team, we co-operated in chat, never criticized for mistakes, and just had a good mood the whole time, even after 2 baron steals from our own misplays!!), we all honored him, and told him we hope things get better.

Me, personally, whenever I'm feeling sad, or mad, I play a normal game of LoL, it helps me take my mind off things, and puts me in a better mood most of the time. That said, when I'm in a bad mood, like when starting at those times, it often shows in my chat from me to be honest, emotions going through me.

This guy was doing the same thing I normally do, but instead of giving off a negative vibe, like many in tough times do, he tried to give off a positive one, and tried to lift the spirits of his whole team!!! That takes some serious heart, and it was probably thanks to him the whole game had a positive demenor to it, and by the way, this was NOT a 5 man pre-made, it was 2 pre-made and 3 solo on this team, and this guy was solo.

people like this, who-even in tough times-still try to lift the spirits of others, instead of bringing them down, in a community that is flilled to the brim with negative attitudes, it a genuine breath of fresh air. I'm not saying his summoner name, in fear of trolls coming to make things worse on him, but i just wanna say:

if you see someone with a positive attitude, let them know, and let them know how it effects your experience in the game. And if you are feeling down, maybe making others feel better, will make you feel better too.

If more people took steps in this community, i think we could be a much happier place. granted, toxicity will never go away, but we can at least try to bring positivity along with it.

positive attitudes win games, and that shows here.

Being in this situation myself before, I can say that it was extremely hard to just not blow up on every little mistake a teammate made. This guy not only contained his sadness, but he gave off an extremely positive vibe as well?! That's strength right there. I don't even know who he is, but I'm proud of him.

My friend, thank you for posting this, this just shows the love that people can show for others, saying "I love you all" Is one of the best things that a person can say, even if it may appear creepy. It is not homosexuality, it is merely showing that someone cares about you.

Everyone, even if you feel lonely, at least one person out there cares about you, trust me, someone out there cares for you, don't push them away.

that would be really annoying, just reading about this guy bringing his baggage into a game was annoying. That emoji at the end of your post was the icing on the downvote

Heh, this sounds like my opening line in most matches. "You're all beautiful people. Now let's go wreck those other guys!"

Truly, though, so nice to maintain a positive atmosphere. I've made a ton of friends in League!

Sounds like hid friend who died probably gave into depression...

You can tell by the red flags he's giving by saying.

" there's always someone who loves you" and depressed people feel like they're lonely. So always sharing that love. Bothering them to go out and have fun helps them.

I feel for his loss... it's nice you had a good game with good people.
