Where should league go from here?

Over the last few years many changes have happened, and although league is currently ranked 1, I believe its time is over. This I blame on dev paths chosen that had no real importance placed on game Quality. Some people say I feel this way because I started pre season 4. However when I started has no influence on the changes made to league and the real issues it currently faces.

For those of you who don't know, EA Games, has a pretty good influence on what happens with league, as it I believe is the top revue for League not counting the one group that is the backbone and should never be forggoten less the league fail......... THE PLAYERS. Yes idc if EA GAMES spends 50 to 1 or even 1000 to 1 dollars over the PLAYERS, they are still vastly more imporant than EA could ever be. Why you ask? Because with out PLAYERS the game dies, all investors, ect go away. It is soley because of the players they are here after all, not league.

I bring up EA and its influence because I've noticed a pattern with the company and games it influences in the direction it wants. Let me tell you the pattern.

> A game will dumb its self down to make it easyier for newplayers, The game will also be dependant on its competitve nature for its success, The game they influence will make dev changes making rounds, matchs or whatever shorter. The Game will make most skills visable and thus easyier to dodge/ counter. The Game will remove/change complex gameplay mechianics pro players are able to take advantage of to win. The game will boost up rebounding catch up mechanics so in competitve play its anyones game till the last second. The game will boost the damage of most things without balancing the survivalibilty to make kills happen more often, this is in order to add more danger and keep people on edge. The Game will start focusing on team play while decreasing single player skill in determining who wins engagments. A game will start focusing on APM(actions per minute) than overal Strat of abilitys, builds, unit comps, picks.

Now I was not speaking of League of Legends in any of that, though I'm sure you can see some similar things going on currently. I was actually speaking of.... Starcraft 2, Command and Conquer, Halo, World of war-series(ships tanks whatever) Call of duty, ect...

All the games followed the same devolpement path, Now league is still currently number 1, but where are all the others that did the same thing?

Starcraft 2 - going f2p due to loss of player base

Command and Conquer - dead

World of series - Base min playerbase barely sustaining

Call of duty - Don't know honestly I just know its went down hill since black ops, 1 or 2 i forget. Basically around the time they put in the buff to spray n play weapons. aka more noob friendly no skill required.

All of those game plus league and others I just haven't researched on top of following a dead end devolpment path to ruin, had 1 single company in common EA Influenceing their devoplement either by ownership or 3rd party investing. Gaming companys litterly destorying the core of their games to please them. A game can never be competitive and newbie friendly, its simply not possible. Its either 1 or the other. That being said, if a game isnt competitve it doesnt get aired in competitve play thus no EA funds. Still League for the past 2 years has went down a path towards less competitve play. For a while after my break I thought players had gotten better. Wrong, Players arn't better its just my ability to influence my skill in the game has decreased. Due to the come back system, ampped damage, mobility added to the map and items that wasn't there before along with skill shots now being visable.

> Side note: Skill shots being visiable actually made me worse at dodging, because no i react instead of predict and I was good at predicting.

The game was called Stale before reforged, Yes it was. I can't argue against that, however League is 8 years old. There comes a point where the game is gonna be stale. Where new champions are no longer needed and are redundant. Riot needs to understand there comes a poin't where a game is as good as it can be made 100%, and adding changing nerfing / buffing things at that point reduces the quality of the game. I believe before reforged we were at that 98% mark, and the rework put us back at 70% if not lower. At 98% we needed no new champs, no new items we were balanced save a few champion updated reworks needed tobe done. I liked the game in season 4 alot more than now, but even I'll say the game wasn't finished. I simply enjoyed the 45min game though it was to long.

30mins I believe is the games average match breaking point. Its an invisable line so guessing is all I can do. But this damage amp and game speed needs to be rolled back. There is no real laning phase left and thats the only time a players single skill shines. Where he can build his own lead up. We got what now maybe 7-10mins.

Riot, just keep a close eye on your playerbase numbers in the next 4 months, if they start dropping revert fast please. I'll hate to see this game die. My numbers are rough but as long as we don't lose 27% or more league can self sustain. Anymore and the Que timers will skyrocket by 50-75% anyone higher than gold 4 and you'll be losing them as well. Bronze 4 and 5 ranked should be lost at the same time if i predict correct. With any luck League will sustain the other ranks for a while. Should the worse happen that is.

In season 4, number crunching was really valuable skill in league. We didnt have champion gg lol king or pro builds. So we used it on item and stat builds in game. Back then though their were 3 viable builds per champ, now theres only one. Kinda makes crunching the numbers meaningless. On a side note for general advice, build cheaper items You already got damage amped up so your not gonna lack damage. don't need 125 to kill someone at 100 after all, only need 100. Game time down 5-7mins average. So your old full build you'll never reach without kle. Not if you play right atleast.
