Toxic levels of this game seem to keep rising. Riot? is this working?

It's like I can't go one single game without reporting atleast one if not more players these days. Then even when I look at the forums and its full of rage post one after another. Ingame players rage constantly in chat. Harrassing their own team mates more than enemys even. Honestly Riot, I don't think your system is working. As a player I feel more stressed after playing league than ever. And I'm suppose tobe playing a game for fun not stress.

What ever happen to players following the summoner's code? The respect and understanding between team mates? Is this the game you really wanted to create? Full of hate, rage, stress, and trolls? Sounds more like a nightmare than the dream of what league could be to me. So Riot, What I'm asking is can you do something to fix this? Make harsher punishments or something I don't know. I know its a really hard to fix something like this but your the game masters, the ones players turn to. You design and lead the way the game goes. So its your responcibility to make the game enjoyable for all. I'm just not seeing playing as enjoyable like it was. There's just to much hate and anger. Playing has become more of a job than a game.

Yeah I know who am I to ask for a change, especially one of this magintude. I'm just a low ello player after all.

The feeders and trolls are the reason why people are toxic. The majority of people who are getting punished are the frustrated players who are dealing with the issues over-and-over again. People have complete control over text based toxicity. It's called muting. It's fast and simple.

Players, however, cannot control the in-game actions of other players.

Riot needs to focus on these issues to reduce the toxic atmosphere.

  • Gameplay Balance
  • Feeders
  • Intentional
  • Grieving
  • Boosted players who don't belong at their current elo
  • AFKERS
  • Rage Quit
  • People who sit in Base and move around to avoid the AFK check
  • Those who type in-game so much that they don't even pay attention to the game.
  • Trolls
  • Champ select players who hold their team hostage because they didn't get their preferred role.
  • Account Sharing
  • High tiered players boosting low accounts
  • Cheaters
  • Scripters using Xerath
  • Learning new champs in Ranked.

The list goes on...

Right now, trolls are getting away scott-free during champ select by forcing other players to dodge. The troll doesn't lose any LP. They go straight back into queue and continue this malicious pattern until they get their preferred role. The person who dodges loses LP and gets queue timed. This is unbelievable.

There are sly players who play the game to lose without feeding. They make it seem like they tried, but their primary goal is to lose the game and get demoted.

I find that there's a consistent moderately high level of toxicity. I was placed in bronze 3. I play unranked most of the time and find that most people are neutral or somewhat friendly but I consistently end up reporting someone about every 3 games. That's on average 1 in 30 people, so a bit over 3% of the player base at my elo. Honestly I find the best solution is to que with friends and just mute someone the second they say something that starts to get on your nerves.

Feeding causes people to be toxic because the game is competitive so solve the feeder issue and toxicity will decrease over time.

I tell my teammates to kill themselves and uninstall and to stop playing and that they are shit in every single game i play in. you know why? because its true. I want them to kill themselves for wasting 40 minutes of my life in making me extremely mad. its not fair that i have to lose

Toxicity goes down as the higher you get. Usually the hyper toxic people get banned and have to start over and get banned again before they hit 30 and start over and get banned again... and again... and again...
