Cunning Masteries on Rammus

I tried Thunderlords on Rammus and was nicely surprised to see that his shield procs it. Has anyone tried Deathfire with his shield? Is it wurf?

Defensive Curl (W) will proc spell effects including deathfire touch. I main tank rammus, and because DFT and Thunderlords scales off AP/AD I don't think it is worth especially since you need to commit 21 mastery points to that talent tree. But if I am way ahead, I'll build item 3151 because that also procs off his Defensive Curl, plus the extra Magic Pen makes his damage wreck.
