Could Honor Give LP?
So, this is an idea I got at 4 in the morning. What if the honors you get after each ranked game gives you a small amount of LP, say, like 5 per honor?
It would really bump up the importance of honor, so it may encourage more players to play cooperatively and friendly. It would help really good players climb up a little faster, too. Even if you lose, if you are just that awesome of a player, the loss would not be too detrimental.
The most amount of LP you can acquire through this would be 20, which would be really rare. If you do get it though, that would be around double the LP from a win, and if you lose, it would be like just scratching that game off of your mind.
It would also be really hard to abuse since if you're in a duo with someone and you guys keep honoring each other it'd only amount to 5 LP per game. If you guys keep winning I don't really see a problem with that. If you guys keep losing it won't really stop you from losing LP or getting demoted.
Also, this applies to flex queue as well. If you make a 5 man group and keep honoring only one person, he'd climb too fast and would eventually not be able to play with them and then get demoted down. If you split it up between each member, it would only be 5 LP per game which makes losses hurt just a little less and wins mean a little more.
I just feel that the current honor system was a great first step from the previous honor system but it could be much more. It could be a big part of the game without being abusable. League is unique to other MOBA's because of the importance of the pregame (Runes and stuff). The honor system could be like a post game that you have to think about in game and be more conscious of because of the great benefits it gives to good players whether you win or lose, which was the goal of the honor rework anyway.
Edit: It seems many people already don't like this so let me add something. IF it was implemented. having bad behavior would at worst hurt you like normal and at best hurt you a little less. If you have good behavior, at worst it would hurt you only a little, and at it would help you a lot. Sure, the good players would get shifted slightly upwards unfairly in terms of skill, but the goal is to reduce toxicity and encourage teamwork. If everyone was a good player then the bonuses wouldn't do anything, but being toxic in that situation would only hurt you, encouraging you to be a little more nice, if it's just on the keyboard if anything. This would encourage everyone regardless of how many good players there are to at least try and could help reduce the game's toxicity in its players.
