A troll build that becomes viable gets a nerf before those champions? What a bad time to be alive. Because top laner the whiney lane complains again? I guess I should just play Aftershock lissandra top then.

iiGazeii2 votesIrelia got nerfed (5 movespeed is a big deal), Akali has nerfs on the PBE, and Aatrox has nerfs in the works that got pushed back to the next patch because the nerfs caused animation issues.

Illabethe1 votesExcept the Base damage doesn't change much at all at low levels, and by high levels, building Tank is compensated by Transcendence/Hextech core. He can easily reach 400+ AP mid game, so it's actually a buff. If he's going to get fed, he's going to do it early game. At which point his bases are about the same, and he gains from whatever AP he does have. So getting to 400 AP for late game scaling should be easy.... even on Tank.

Why? Viktor's Hextech Core more than completely negates the tradeoff from reducing the base damage to the AP conversion.
R is gaining 15% conversion, and losing 20 top tier damage. 180 AP by itself negates and surpasses the buff.
He can still run just tank build and do more damage than he does right now (70k in 32 minutes!)
Except..... now his AP build will do even more (hopefully encouraging tank builders to go back to AP....... which they might try, but once they die a lot..... will go right back to building tank)

Jinzo Torrance1 votesHe needs 400 AP to make up for the loss of damage on R and Q... Hexcore (after you spend 3k gold on it) only gives 180 AP at level 18, so he needs spend gold on 220 more AP to break even with R and Q damage. It means that if Viktor mid gets put behind by an early gank he's going to be useless since he doesn't have the AP or bases to damage people, meanwhile his top counterpart will still hit melee champions like piñatas since he gets the damage from repeatedly proccing Iceborn + Q while mid Viktor doesn't get the luxury to do the same against Ranged champions.

All you need for 400 AP is 2 items. And with CDR items + Transcendence, you don't even need that.

Ragnaveil1 votesYou realize there is a nerf on the PBE for Aatrox (which got pushed to 8.23 due to audio issues). Idk why people say he needs nerfs so much when he's just a cc bot. If you either go faster than him, or slow him, he can't do shit, and so many champions nowadays have access to such things. Just cuz LCS picks him doesn't mean he's op. Take Sej for example when she was being picked. Was she op? Not really. Then they nerfed power to lower her strength in pro, and now she's garbage tier in soloqueue.
