@Riot, A Temporary Fix To Karma

With all of the discussion going on about Karma lately, here's an idea of a gameplay "fix" to make her feel slightly better to people while they wait for a gameplay update.

Current Mantra COOLDOWN: 45 / 42 / 39 / 36 Active: Karma empowers her next basic ability within 8 seconds for an additional effect.

New Mantra COOLDOWN: 45 / 42 / 39 / 36 Active: Karma empowers her next basic ability within 8 seconds for an additional effect. Mantra empowers her next two basic abilities at level 6, and three at level 11.

If you really wanted to go further, you could include a fourth at 16, but that's probably not necessary. Perhaps even just have it grant her a slight buff to her passive cooldown effect.

Pros:

  • Makes Karma feel like she gains a real power spike at level 6 and 11
  • Improves her current gameplay loop with some additional choice on which spells to cast, in what order

Cons:

  • May have to nerf scaling on abilities a tiny bit, or at least the cooldown of Mantra slightly

It's a cool idea, but it may be a bit too strong to have all three ultimate abilities late-game.

How about this as a thought: at level 11, activating Mantra automatically refreshes the cooldown of all her basic abilities. So instead of having three ultimate abilities, you could time your abilities right to create a new battle loop.

A basic combo of Karma is E-W-RQ. With the new change, it could expand to be E-W-RW-Q-E.

Mantra should be about active choices.

It's current issue is that support Karma only wants to RE and top Karma only wants to abuse RW. Your solution is either keeping the problem (they can freely spam 3 RQs in a row) or it's awkward to play (maybe you don't want to E yourself after RQ, but it's forced to be RE).

I know Karma needs changes, but that doesn't seem like the way forward.
