I mean they are totally eraseable by AoE, instead by having their life split into fragments if you use one in a TF an Area of Effect skill will always take it down, making them kinda useless team fight wise. Also if you go AP they do not apply 
like other summoned units do...
I understand they might have a fixed HP amount but damn they should take like only a 25% damage from AoE skills cause they are useless in the figths.

QQ but srsly as they are now, i run into so many frustrating circumstances as ap top shaco. Things like they get cleared from some random AOE, while invisible, or they target all funky, those little weird interactions screw me, because if you don't snowball early as shaco you can get srsly spanked, and the rage from your team if you feed top as AP shaco, is pretttyyy brutal. Not going to lie, I've got reported Quite a bit this season, and alot of them were from reverse snowballing due to some slight misplay involving box interactions. :-(

Shrug I think making them like heimers turrets would be a good thing, personally.

Serious answer now, because I am a serious person. The boxes are because he is so old. He'll get a rework eventually. They don't update his boxes because the ability will probably get scrapped (also a lot of work) and because it'll add a significant amount of power to him (he is intentionally kept a bit shit because he is frustrating to play against)

I've played a lot of AP shaco support, boxes are only good for two things, peeling and setting up traps. Put 3-4 boxes down before a team fight (trap).. whoever runs into them will be chunked out of lane instantly.
Or if you feel like a fight is going to go down, place some boxes behind you out of AOE, incase you and your team need peel, you can just run to your boxes. Aside from that, the only thing you need to worry about in team fighting is assassinating the carries with your shiv (ap)

SanKakU1 votesAs I have already posted, they could make his traps' lifetime go past the 60 second mark with AP. A 0.15 ratio would mean 400 AP grants him a whole extra minute. Numbers can be tweaked, can even adjust the AP ratio as you level up the boxes.
