Snowball instead of Flash

What would happen on Summoner's Rift if the availability of and were to be reversed, so that it was the second to be available on Summoner's Rift instead of the former?

In my opinion would allow all of the offensive plays allows but without also doubling as a defensive tool nor tripling as a general mobility tool, making it still very strong on selected champions (like and ) but not an omnipresent must-have spell for everyone, like currently is.

EDIT: Rebalanced for Summoner's Rift, obviously. Didn't think it would have been necessary to specify this...

What if snowball was changed to take you to the spot where you hit the enemy champion instead of taking you to where the champion is. This way even if people got hit by it, they still have a chance to escape.

That would sadly be worse. That would be "dodge the nidalee spear" problem but 10x worse. Can you imagine Wukong with that? Annie? Darius? Hit you with snowball annnnd good night moon. At least with flash there is a window of escaping. Snowballs teleport you right on top of the person.

But you can dodge the snowball. Unless you are in a crowded team fight, its pretty easy to dodge. Replacing summoner 4 with summoner 32 would still allow people to engage and disengage (to monsters) using the dash. Admittedly, you could not suddenly reposition like you could with Flash, but Flash could still stick around, though it would need to be nerfed into the ground to make summoner spell choices diverse.

Overall, I adding summoner 32 to the Rift is a good idea [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] ...though may not be a perfect solution. Also, Mark/Dash would need a different cooldown on Summoner's Rift.

Annie, Galio, Alistar, etc need a 1000 range initiation tool.

If its range was reduced, sure. Maybe like 550-700 instead of the current like... 1200.

But again it goes back to the core problem of "dodge the Nidalee spear" or "don't get grabbed". Those have been a plague in league for years. I love dodging skill shots, but to the point of "oh you dodged 99% of said skill shot? Too bad that 1% ended the game, so sad." Don't get me wrong something needs to be done with flash. Replacing one evil for another is not a good solution though.
