Mordekaiser Rework Opinion Poll

I've seen a fair number of negative opinions on the Mordekaiser rework. In particular, allowing him to gain full experience in a duo lane as well as removing the self-cast on W feel like a fairly ham-fisted attempt to force him into the bot lane. (I.e., it's not just that he's being forced bot, it's that he's being forced bot in an inelegant way.) However, I was curious to get a wider variety of opinion on the subject, so I'm posting a poll to see how people really feel about the rework.

For the record, here's a bit more explanation on the options below:

  1. "Like it": For people who think the rework seems cool and are excited to see it hit live in something similar to its current form.
  2. "Reserving judgment for now": For people who just aren't sure.
  3. "Have serious concerns": For people who may like some aspects of the rework but think that there are clear problems with the current version.
  4. "WTF RITO": For people who view the rework as a travesty and an offense against League of Legends.

I think morde should be able to w minnions so that he will still be a viable solo laner.

I really like the idea behind it. The ADC-support meta is, quite frankly, pretty stale. Half the time I see the jungler doing more damage and carrying faster and harder than either team's ADC, so if a pair of mages bot lane can completely deny the enemy adc without getring reported for trolling an off-meta lane, then yes please riot. I enjoy a good lux-morg bot lane in normals because the ranged cc makes the opposing adc just free kills as early as level 1, but I would be flamed for even suggesting that in ranked, so I'm glad to see riot is pushing us to try new things.

That said, reworking an existing champion was a recipe for complaints. I think this would have been much better recieved if they had just released a new anti-carry mage.

I think the idea is good. I think the current numbers are too weak.

If Riot is willing to bump up the numbers, I think it will be a really effective bot lane with an all in support (like Leona, for instance) at making a kill happen when everyone else is level 4 and Morde can hypothetically be level 6.

That said, I have very little faith in Riot to actually follow through on the reworks with appropriate number changes over the course of the next two weeks to three months, which likely means it'll be bad on the whole.

He will be destroyed in ARAM like many champions before him. Can't last hit minions effectively in aram for the bonus XP passive and there is no dragon. RIP

decent concept, terrible execution

TBH If they were going to rework him they should have just waited until they could do a massive overhaul. He should be a tanky sustained-damage mage, not some weird hybrid delayed-burst bruiser
