Ranked Placements are a joke

so... supposedly you get placed more "accurately" with this new system based on your mmr... so season 3 i did my placements and placed bronze 1 and was content to play around in bronze one for the rest of the season, Season 4 i do my S4 placements get bronze 1 again and decide to climb to silver 5, then i do my season 5 placements... and i get fuckin bronze 3? how the hell does this shit fuckin work? i had a 1500 MMR which is roughly silver before i did my season 5 placements now i have a MMR of 940? how the hell did i lose 660 MMR? anyone care to explain? i'm seriously fuckin baffled as hell as to how this shit even works....

EDIT i've ONLY played my placements so far... so where'd that 660 MMR go?

The point of the ELO reset is that everybody is placed lower. People who are in challenger go to diamond. I was in gold 2 and went to silver 3. This is how it works and is supposed to work. The forum is full of people complaining about the same thing...
