As low Elo Lux Main the only person I fear in lane is.....

Fizz . And its really not a problem to cs in lane or anything. Its just knowing if I mess up once and give him a kill he is going to snowball hard and instant kill me and everyone on my team. Lux is strong right now there is no doubt about it. Its crazy how strong thunderlords keystone is with her passive. I played on a level 10 account last night with some friends and the difference in damage output without thunderlords (and runes of course) is pretty crazy.

That team shield for late game team fights has always been annoying as well.

I love her and no hard nerfs would be nice. But not sure what they can do to tone her down without nerfing her into the ground. Probably reducing her shield strength would be a good start.

Sick of the QQ threads and hearing how I am playing an op champion in each game (even though I have played her since season 2).

Ive played Lux a lot. Then i stop, go back, stop and go back to using her. Such a great champ.

She's a good backbone champ to always fall back on. That's something I personally find really nice about her. Reliability.

But on someone woth as much damage and utility as her, that reliability is not very good for balance

Oh yeah. Love how she plays.

But hate TLD, makes her too strong.

I'd rather see the other mages brought up to her level than see Lux kneecapped. If they gimp her we'll just see nothing but AD mids until the end of time... and maybe the odd LeBlanc or Ahri.

I just don't see why people stopped playing Azir or Syndra. Granted I don't play Azir because I have not learned him. I am going to start playing Syndra more but do feel her skill cap is a bit more. My biggest fear is all the ad assassins staying mid forever and always. I like your idea of bringing the other mages up to her level.

The problem with azir is how much time and gold he needs to scale.

Yea I agree with Genghis & Magnum. She is always reliable.

To say that Lux isn't OP is just plain silly at this point. She is INCREDIBLY safe to play and her long range ult is on like a 30 second CD with max CDR.

Sorry, but when there is only one champion that can give you problems, your champ is OP as hell.

I know she is strong right now but she always has been. I just have not seen people play other mages vs her. Everyone just goes zed because "zed op" but if you don't know what your doing with a champion your going to lose more times than not.

Veigar can kill her so easy if he can get his stun on her. Other mages have a very hard time with her it seems.

Yea i got wrecked by one in my last game. I am planning to start playing syndra more as I really like her just not that good with her. I have not had to face a lux in awhile but syndra would be my pick. I have always been a mage fan and I like the mage on mage battles. They remind of me adc battles as although one may have an advantage over the other they generally are more even, at least to start.

Yea, the only problem with the veog match up is she hardcore outranges you

Your post goes a lot of places, and I'm not sure you actually need this advice, buttttt... moderately brief insight into Lux vs Fizz:

Lux does reasonably well vs Fizz; just never use Q before he uses E, and even then don't use it unless he's looking to go in on you.

Instead, walk up and auto attack him, then drop minion agro, then do it again. Don't give up CS to do this. Once you're 2, you can E>auto, saving Q. You can Q him during or IMMEDIATELY after his Q no matter what, because he's actually locked out of using E for a brief time after using Q. Always W his E/R. Once he's 6, you can no longer auto attack him. Instead, last hit at max range. If he tries to zone you, E him. Then E him again. Then some more. Build chalice>zhonya>rest of build.

Attempt to keep a pink ward up at the back of Red buff, no matter which side of the game you're on. This will allow you to more safely spot out/mirror his roams without being in range for him to kill you. Obviously never take the same route to roam that he did. If you're on purple side and he's roaming bot, you probably can't follow due to the way the map is laid out; instead, push and deal what damage you can to tower while pinging your allies back like a madman.

Of course you're correct, if you mess up badly enough to die early, you're going to have a bad time- at least until you get zhoynas and can zhonya his R. Then you'll be in much better shape again until he's 6 items.

While most people consider Fizz a counter pick to Anivia, she's actually my go-to vs Fizz. She can do similar things as Lux in lane to him, is even harder to kill due to egg (and possible teleggports), and can easily afford to build the Banshee's that will completely eliminate all threat from him in late.

She hasn't always been OP. The problem was that when they buffed Lux she was already in a decent spot. Reliability requires sacrifices in other areas, and she hasn't had to sacrifice anything for the amount of safety she is allowed. Her shield is the least problematic part of her kit, and also there's a reason Lux players upgrade it last.

Her other abilities are too good. She's a problem, and when you ignore stuff like that you contribute to the unbalance happening in the game. She was not gimped before. They need to tackle Lux with an actual meaningful nerf, not just lowering her an ability that every Lux player out there upgrades last.

When I play Lux I don't really fear Fizz because he doesn't have a blink ability.

LeBlanc, Zed, and Talon on the other hand are super difficult to play against, and I usually require a gank when I play against them. I actually think Zed should receive just as much criticism as Lux is. He's also very problematic.

I always max shield second and the fact you don't is probably the reason you having a problem vs lb & zed and talon. Guide I read awhile back said they always upgrade shield second so I started doing that and have had more success. Not sure what the scale for damage on her snare is but I don't think its worth it for the damage so not really sure what your first paragraph is referring to.

I mean people can do what they want but I would be surprised if higher elo lux players leave her sheild at lvl 1 until late game. To me it just sounds like you really have no idea what your talking about haha.

After reading a master zed's player response to how to play against him I don't think zed is that bad. He does a lot of damage and basically forces all adcs or mids to build around his ult. That is annoying, but does make it couterable. LIke most zeds he is just going to farm and harass with his shadow and double q or es. Then he has no energy and I just go in hit him with a e followed by a thunderlord and passive proc. Or if snare hits then e, laser, e and force him to flash or die.
