Riot's patching frequency

Its cool when Hearthstone has a patch. LIke 5 cards will change VERY slightly.

But Riot feels the need to dramatically change things ALL THE TIME.

What kind of "SPORT" changes the god damn rules so much so often?

I believe that Riot could balance the game any time they want, to the point where patches would just be minor tweaks. I believe they don't balance the game to drive sales.

OR maybe the can't. Maybe they literally are that incompetent or have a business model which doesn't allow for the proper communication to make sure changes are very cohesive and consistent with the goal of the game. Maybe that's why we see so many dumbshit changes over the years, only to see Riot revert said dumbshit change that we all knew was a s dumbshit change.

Either way, they are either underhanded or incompetent.

What you believe is irrelevant. What you can prove with evidence is what matters.

But that aside, when you're dealing with a complex system of considering the modifications of items, and what these modifications will mean for the 100+ champions that could potentially use them, is it any surprise that broken champions, itemizations and strategies slip through the cracks? I don't think it's incompetence. Anyone who's actually thought about champion balance knows that even a full experienced team working the issue of balance won't get it perfect every time.

I don't agree. An "experienced" team? Where is their experience coming from? What, peopele who worked on DOTA 2 and LOL? Maybe the problem is we have the same people using the same though processes which is why its a never ending challgenge. The game is no more balanced now than it has ever been. What are they going towards with these patches? What...damage control? Unfuck the game as much as possible after they see another issue pop up? This is like Whack-a-mole. That is not progress. Trading one prolbem for another in a never ending cycle year after year is either incompetence or intentional. Don't tell me that a billion dollar company cant find the talents and brains (and heaven forbid, people with advanced degrees in statistical analysis which I am convinced Riot DOESN"T have based on how sloppy their thinking is sometimes) to balance their ONE game?

Give me a break dude.
