What if turrets did more damage closer

The closer you are to the turret the more damage it would do to you. Get nicked by a max range shot by accident and not be as heavily punished as a full on dive to someone right on their turret.

Damage wouldnt be reduced from current levels, but ramped up to like 250% when you're at the base of the turret.

Would reward proper turret juggling aggro too if someone is tanking the shots at max range and not as engaged as those diving, so diving is still possible just less braindead

There are range differences for so many champs that it could be abused and unfair.

Champs with greater range could literally destroy at outer range while a melee or shorter ranged champ would be helpless and would take more dmg to equally attempt the same thing.

If they change turrets I'd rather it be across the board. Like maybe they take away a % of your health instead of straight damage, or maybe their damage scales to a certain point so that people can't just stand next to the turret and repeatedly take hits late game.

But I've had this game less than 2 weeks, so whatever. My main issue with turrets as a very new player, is that I feel like they don't do anything to heroes mid-late game. I know that's when the laning phase ends, but I don't feel like you should be able to spend a whole 5 seconds next to a tower with impunity when no minions are around. I just feel like the towers don't help defenses at all late game.
